Yup no problem! I find that ive had more success during a slack tide right before it transitions. My theory is when it's slack it's more easier for them to stay on the trap and are more mobile. But who knows. I use chicken people who left used squid and they did well too. Pacifica pier is definitely better imo. Good luck!

How big of a swell would you avoid going to a jetty?

I would just check the tides and wind. Water will be much higher on a full moon as well. Probably can use the Pacifica live pier cam just to see how bad swells are before going here

I personally wouldn't you'll probably snag on something. Only from a pier where you can pull straight it up out the water

We cast out pretty far. The chances of you recatching it is unlikely. But if so I dont mind it 😂. More fun for us

That im not to sure about. I do see people surf the ocean side and people swim the bay side. Would be cool to dive the bay side of the jetty.
