Awesome video! Great looking recipe, too. I think if you would have mixed the meat with something wet, maybe mayo, it would have been even greater :-) Thanks for taking us along.

Hey there. First time on your channel. Your recipe looks delicious. I think I would of mixed all the ingredients together first before stuffing the shells but anyway you do it fresh from the catch you can't beat it. Going to check out the rest of your videos. Just subscribed. Tight lines.....

Got a beach house in Galveston Wednesday-Sunday. Gonna be doing a lot of surf fishing if you want to get together! Just found you the other day but I’ve been watching a lot of your videos ever since! Would be cool to meet you and maybe even catch some fish!!

That crab looks amazing. Question. Is August a good month for crabbing there? What month does the crabbing slow down? Can you make some suggestions about where to crab? I'm taking a vacation to Galveston. I don't live in a coastal state, so I don't have much experience crabbing. My mom used to take me and my sister when we were very young and lived in Louisiana. I've been watching crab videos a lot. Now, I really want to go crabbing. I've never eaten blue crabs before, and I can't wait to try it. It will be an expensive vacation because i have to purchase an out of state license as well as all of the equipment to crab and cook my catch.

If possible man can you make that video describing what’s a legal crab trap in Texas. I want to get into crabbing but I was looking at the regulations and I’m honestly just confused. It also mentions only being able to harvest before sunrise and after sunset it be cool if you could explain that too. Thanks man

Great catch and cook vid, I appreciate the rules info on the pots could use a more in depth video as well on all the regulations for these local waterways.

As I am unfamiliar with the area, can this be done in the interior bay water, or only on the Gulf shoreline?
@BeforeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
It can be done pretty far up the bays! Heck, we find crabs way up in brackish water areas all the time, the real question is, do you want to eat them when they are that far up “stream”? I like to go farther from the city and closer to the beach to get away from the pollution!

Always cool to see how other places catch crabs. We use the top shell up here to make Crab Fluff. Can you crab all year or does your season close?
@BeforeOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard of crab fluff. I’ll need to look into that. And yes, we can crab pretty much all year long except for like 20 days in February I think. But, crabbing gets slow about this time of year until the water warms back up. Thanks for watching!
@FVMissPaula3 жыл бұрын
@@BeforeOutdoors it's an old Md recipe. Not many people make it anymore. They used to sell tin crab tops to put it in so you didn't have to use the shells.

What is your gear tag made of?
@BeforeOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
We cut a piece out of an old plastic bucket. Works great because you can rub off the sharpie with some acetone or whatever and write new dates on it instead of having to make a whole new tag!

What are the best months for crabbing?
@BeforeOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Summertime! Because, as the water gets colder the crabs don’t move as much. So anywhere from like April to October are pretty good!

I would say it does NOT take away from the crab to a point where you can’t taste all the different flavors.
