There are three requirements for WF to function with a deck. 1. No lock 2. Spells that have effects on discards/abundance of spells. 3. Access to lvl 4 none tuner on special summon. What I found as of now: Runick, Centurion and Toy (the big three). SE, Branded (currently working on it), Eldlich , Spright, Harpie, Manadium, Tear, Cubic, Striker, VW and CB. Swordsoul and Dogma stun should also be possible. And once Azamina and Fiendsmith are out all hell will break loose.

@@aetherwolf9288 -math lab requires some brain power, i don't dislike it but i do think that konami pushed the boundary very far because you know, trap cards are looked down upon nowadays because they are too slow due to power creep -tenpai is in a similar position, tenpai is a response to the players' complain of "first turn players have too much advantages, unbreakable board + handtraps" and also "nobody takes the battle phase and battle protection seriously anymore"; kinda shitty of konami for selling a solution to a problem they created in the first place. In a format where handtraps aren't as prevalent anymore, i could see tenpai in a better light, as they are though i understand where the hate and bitterness against tenpai came from -i love ancient gear, it's a much more fair and balanced version of tenpai honestly, they have backrow protections but anything coming from monster is fair game, their game plan is linear and simple beatdown, they punishes boards that have too much bodies but simple boards with only 1 or 2 can still barely survive through their usual OTK strategy, they also have little to no recovery so once you out their bosses they are usually gone for good, there's very little incentives for the ancient gear player to have more than a copy of their bosses other than to have fun

@@redacap the thing is for me those decks reverse the discussion. That is why I like Branded. It has the power to push through a lot of stuff within engine but with no protections and it is hard to play but easy to play against. Their boards aren’t an auto win and besides Ishizu Tear a Branded mirror is the best YGO has to offer.

@@aetherwolf9288 branded is in a near fair and balanced state, the only sour opinion i have of them is the fact that one time, a branded player used santifire to special summon a goddamn D/D floodgate onto my board, i was playing dark magician, i though we were having fun banishing each others with dark magic circle and mirror jade but apparently he wants to win at any cost, we were around gold or plat rank at that time

@ I agree Sanctifire is an example of bad card design but that was not really my point. Branded doesn’t need none engine or archetypes outside their lore or generic options (aside for maybe a Dragostapalia or Light and Darkness dragonlord). It is good going first and good to very good going second. However it has no autowin button aside for Sanctifire lock which never was more than a gimmick. But if Tenpai resolves Summoning its over. If Ancient Gear gets to Fortress its over. If Cannonlab resolves one Cannon its more often than not over. That is card design I honestly don’t like. Something like Fiendsmith would have been perfect if it locked you into Light fiends. It would have been a very strong deck with Musket and good g1st and g2nd. But instead it is combo heaven for any Fiend deck making it necessary to play 20 HTs minimum. The Powercreep is insane.

This deck took me a month to build and I finally got it completed, not finished even though I am lacking ogre and belle handtraps. Anyways this deck annihilates meta to the core but I do brick on some occasions when I have like two copies of Allestar in my hand!

The most explosive maybe and the most well known besides Runick. But what could have a lot of potential is Branded (Idk how consistent it is atm but you could end on ridiculous boards with any combination of cards. In theory I could get atm to 6 interruptions from 2 cards and a discard with LaDDL). Idk if Centurion can keep up with that.
