I took my son fishing for catfish on the Potomac River one day. They weren't biting. Neither were the bream. All we caught were eels, something I had neither eaten or cooked. We caught enough for two meals--fried eel and an eel stew. Would have liked to catch some more, but that day was a "one of."

I have a confession; I had you all wrong from the get go. I didn't want to like your channel at first. At first, I thought you were one of those "chip on your shoulder" kind of guys, the kind of guy that goes to the bar looking for a fight, not even sure why. I was way wrong about you and your channel has become addicting to watch. By now, I have watched like 20 of your videos and I can't get enough. You are doing it right, brother! I love these videos and cant wait for the net one. I even shared your videos on facebook and with the guys in the shop. Keep up the good work, your channel is a godsend.

Hey Jared this is why I love living here in Louisiana. You can go from fresh water fish to salt water fish in a stones throw. The reason why I love fishing in Louisiana is because of the heritage and the lifestyle that the Bayous hold. If you think about it. The waters are the same waters that pirates like Jean Lafitte used to navigate. (Not the exact bayou but you get the point) not only that so many generations have lived off these waters, and also Native Americans that knew how to live of the bayous, is what really excites me about living in Louisiana.

Seeing the crab nets takes me back to the North Shore on Lake Pontchartrain in the 1960’s. Every summer my Dad rented a camp on the North Shore for a month. My brother and I ran the crab nets every day. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Hallelujah! I love watching your video because you are "fishing for food". You fish, crab, and shrimp for the pleasure of catching your food and you do it sustainably for the environment. I feel the excitement when you have a great catch, a big fish, and knowing you plan to eat your catch.
