It's nice to see one of these stories where the chain continues to succeed instead of getting bought out or fading away. Congrats to the Cracker Barrel family. They've done good and I hope they continue to do well.

My wife while we dating suggested we stop at Cracker Barrel for breakfast back in the early ninties. The breakfast was delicious and the service was great. However the waitress kept on filling up my coffee cup so I kept drinking it. Not being a big coffee drinker the caffeine hit me like a ton of bricks. My future wife just thought it was the funniest thing that I was so wired. I asked her to drive....

Your lucky then cause I’m in NC and I haven’t had a good meal in a good number of years now. I used to go weekly but the food and service started dropping off so I started going monthly and it never got any better so I gave up and figured I’d give someone who cared my money so I hadn’t been in over a year until this February and only reason I went then is because a buddy of mine gave me a Cracker Barrel gift card and like a fool, I used part of it for a dinner and it reminded me real quick as to why I don’t go anymore!! There’s still some money left on that card but it will never be enough to get me to go back! They’ve burnt their bridge and between the restaurant and the gift shop, I bet I used to spend $6-$8k a year there but evidently that’s not enough to get decent food, and I’m not picky at all!! This chain has fallen off the cliff!!

I accompanied my Dad on a business trip to Tennessee one summer in the late seventies. We ate at Cracker Barrel for breakfast, lunch and dinner almost everyday for two weeks. When we got back home we told everybody how great they where. A few years later they came to Texas and Cracker Barrel was our families destination for Sunday dinner for years.

We used to meet my now deceased parents halfway between our homes in the Mansfield, OH Cracker Barrel. My kids used to love looking at the neat vintage style toys, sometimes would get something that Grandma and Grandpa purchased for them. I think their Christmas decorations are pretty nice. Still love the spicy grilled catfish sandwich on grilled sour dough, but now they have to make it up for me because they took it off the menu. Their croutons also make the House Salad, although the salad has kind of changed from what it was originally. Another thing they stopped serving many years ago was the cheesy tomato soup.

Aw yeah, LOVED Cracker Barrel since I was a kid! Everything about it is amazing. I could eat there 3 X daily and always be satisfied. The fried shrimp dinner is out of this world! Thanks for sharing this gem!

Went to my first CRACKER BARREL in Williamsburg Virginia in 1991, and the food was great there. In 2003 a CRACKER BARREL opened up in my hometown of Trenton New Jersey in Hamilton Township and eat there frequently.

I am from Canada. iI LOVE CRACKER BARREL RESTAURANTS...My friend had to drive from Toronto to Georgia alone. She begged me to keep her company on the drive. I finally said yes with the stipulation that we would only stop to eat at Cracker Barrels. She got the company and I got a lot of good eating.

We still have a Cracker Barrel near us one town over. I ate there once a few years back and will never again. Portions are small made mainly for a growing kid. Sorry but true.

Their Southern Fried Chicken is the REAL DEAL! I know - my grandma made it when I was a kid and her recipe dated back to pre-Civil war and her family who migrated from Kentucky and Arkansas via Illinois, down into Oklahoma Territory and in California where the family moved before WWII to escape the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression. Grandma's fried chicken was always the same although she made it from scratch as did her daughters who settled in the San Juaquin Valley and Bakersfield. Cracker Barrel has it going on! Their fried okra and turnip greens are authentic as well. I wish they served black eyed peas with it. That's real down home cookin' and real Southern recipes!

Cracker Barrel is probably the #1 store I would like to visit if I ever visit the States. We have no chain like that here in Sweden, and I love the old country/Western theme.

We eat there all the time. Never once had a bad experience or bad food. If you don't like old fashioned southern cooking...it wont be the place for you. It's not pretentious or trendy..it feels like your southern grandma cooked dinner for you

We’ve all probably shaved a good 5 or 10 years off our lifespan due to all the years of cholesterol intake at Cracker Barrel. Such damn good food, I’d do it again in a skipping heartbeat.

My family and I have always I loved their food and stopping by their store. Used to rent tapes and then CD's of various audio books as we traversed the country. It made for a much more enjoyable and relaxing long-distance drive can I can remember more than once pulling onto our street and thinking, "oh no we haven't finished the book yet!"

Cracker Barrel is a nice family resturant where you can get a complete balanced meals at resonable prices. They could elminate hydrogenated oils and preservatives and it would be more from scratch food. Still pretty great.

I enjoyed my first Cracker Barrel in Florida when I took my grandchildren to Disney. What wonderful place to eat. Great staff, great service, great products and food that reminded me of dinner at grammas house. Yup it was that good. Don’t have them here in Canada that I know of but I always make my way to one when I’m in the U.S. 👍👍🇨🇦
