Absolute best songwriting in here. Love this, so powerful: “I sent you to college, now go call your dad.” the waitress that he married, well she hung up the phone. She never did like me.

Boil down the melody, timing, and rhythm of this song : just an electric country song deep fried in Alternative Fat Grease.

Amen. G-d knows that today’s music is the worst since a caveman beat on a rock with a leg bone from some beast that he killed and ate.

@@kevinc5771 Getting older, I thought I had a music addiction and couldn't understand why & how so many folks, not just had a favorite band, they nonchalantly tell you a little bit of everything, or, I don't listen to a lot of music I read a lot. I'm not sure if my imagery portrays my sadness for those who lack emotional ability to absorb melody, tempo, bassline/groove, all the instruments including vocals & meanings. I tried. LOL enjoy some other great stuff that the majority will never hear. Live on the hunt for new vibes that may reverb your thoughts to an older or fresher time.

@@kevinc5771same. Great bass, I was holding out to the end for a close up! I’d seen enough wife-beater by that point anyway. Maybe the bassist was less than “camera ready” haha

This is one of those few songs throughout my lifetime that I have taken shit for the fact that I liked it and mentioned it, but what I cannot understand is why those who delivered or "gave shit" to me did not repent and confess this to be a classic American song as I stated it was.
