How often does this happen to you, when you hear a tune you've never heard before, and you don't know what it's from, but when you finally find out, you hear it everywhere? Back in 1989/1990, I had a little, handheld, toy guitar with several buttons. Each one played a different tune. Several of them were from kids songs, but there were some that I've never heard before, including both tunes from this song, (One button played the tune from 0:04 to 0:10, and another button played the tune from 0:16 to 0:24, even though I didn't know they were both from the same song. My mind was blown when I found that out.) and I was curious about the first tune. Then, on several occasions, I heard the tune again, one time it was in a movie my dad was watching, and another time, I heard it during an event we try to go to every year. (For several years, they had a band that played various latin songs, including this, but I didn't catch what the song title was.) But, then in the late 90s, I got a compilation of popular latin songs, including a cover of this, and the mystery was finally solved, even though, at one point, when I was playing with the toy, my dad said something about Lambada, but I didn't know what he was talking about. Since then, I've heard thousands of versions of this.

When I was 7-8 in ‘89 or so heard this song at a discotheque in the Crimea my parents and their friends went to. We were camping in the forest by the Black Sea that summer. At the outdoor dance it was warm, crowded, and there peacocks walking around. This beautiful song has been with me since.
