So a common issue with Legends boxes is that the Uncommon sheet was so large, that boxes/cases only had Uncommons from one half of the Uncommon sheet. It was so bad that Wizards, through Duelist magazine, had an exchange program where you could send in your extra Uncommons and receive Uncommons from the other half that other senders sent in. What a mess...

That is incorrect, the uncommon sheet was the same size as the rare and common sheet, 121 cards. The problem was the packaging and distribution.

I love that I got to play with these cards. My type 1 deck on 94-96 had 4 tabernacles. They were only $20 back then. So nostalgic. Just stumbled on this channel (no idea hsvent played MTG in over a decade since I was in the Army!) Brings me back to 7th and 8th grade with my buddies sitting and opening pack after pack/random deck packs of Beta/Urzas/Ice Age - with the occasional Alpha pack/deck. So many folks say "if I could go back in tine Id onvest in Google/Amazon"- which I would too! BUT I would get each pack/box of Alpha/Legends/Ice Age professionally graded (unopened)- and sealed. I could so have the money to own a Ferrari (or 4) and a few businesses lol.

5:49 The best part about this rule is that it's a distinction from the mechanic that let you literally steal people's cards. The ante mechanic forced you to wager cards and the winner got the cards in the ante. There were also cards that added cards to the ante during the game. The mechanic was removed and all ante cards were banned because A) no one likes losing cards and B) it turned the game into actual gambling.

so my brother when he was back in highschool, had a friend who purchased a pack of legends in europe and he bought it off him for like 30 bucks, inside was a italian gwendolyn di corci, years later, earlier this year infact we were going through old boxes and we found it, aswell as two lions eye diamonds, and a gilded drake in a box labeled random commons/artifacts, i built a commander deck with her as the commander and the gilded drake and we each have a lions eye diamond in one of our decks

I had to look up what the Legends A boxes and B boxes contained and I was shocked that A boxes have Mana Drain, Land Tax, and Sylvan Library. That would make A boxes worth slightly more

Damn thank you man! When I first started playing Magic it was at the launch of revised. I got 2 starter decks and 2 boosters of Legends and 2 boosters of The Dark. I loved Legends and when I went back for more they were all gone and no more were on their way :( So sad.
