26:43 was my favorite. You guys cracked open some awesome ones! Thank you, Jeff, for bringing the pipe cutter over. Very nice of him and his patience showing you and Cash how to use it. Have a great weekend 🙂

In the 60’s my folks would take us to Knott’s Berry Farm here in So.Cal. a few times a year, and they would always buy me several uncracked geodes from the rock shop there. I just used a chisel and hammer to open them working the chisel around the circumference of the geode, they were always good geodes with gemmy amethyst, clear vitreous quartz crystals in banded agate, or solid banded agate. This video brings back those memories. Thanks

Saw one of those tools at a rock show, it was mounted on a stand of sorts, so they were cracking them standing up instead of having to bend over.

Hey Dustin! My brother and I just got into rock tumbling, I’m trying to find good locations to find good rocks to tumble and people keep talking about potosi/Washington county area. Is the lead residue from past mining operations a concern? And are there any locations or pointers you could give to a noobie in the field of rock collecting. We go to Carlyle lake to find chert and Indian artifacts, but I want more options in Missouri but potosi is like 2 hours away from me so it’s not somewhere I can go frequently. Thank you Dustin 🙏
