Steelsane needed to answer the late arriving chaff better. All his antichaff was on the line and the moment it died his melters got wrecked because they were stuck shooting crawlers. I guess vulcans behind his melters or something similar would have helped him a lot.

Regarding the a-m devices, chances are he expected emp on the farseer and a ton of sentry missiles. The a-m would shoot those down. Also while a-m are bonkers against fort missile barrage, they do NOT work against vulcain fire bombs. The fire missiles do get shot, but fire still falls on the field.

I think he tech matched the crawlers in round 5 because steelsane was cost control and he would win the headbutt between units
