Good point about the bigger receivers we are recruiting, but remember we had justin shorter a few years ago and nothing happened… ik he didn’t light it up after he transferred either but surely we could’ve done something with that guy

What-if's only go in one direction: backwards. Justin Shorter had size, but couldn't catch the ball in moments when it mattered. This team, the coaching staff aren't even the same as they were a couple years ago. No point in lamenting shoulda/coulda's... We have some great speed and size on this team now. The conversation around the WR room is legit, but the doomers have to be balanced out or they will take over.

Your right, Justin Shorter was given all the chances, and the two dropped touchdown passes at Minnesota when Clifford put it right there, I don't blame Franklin for putting him on the bench

I will say Hagans not being able to motivate/get a handle on the wr room and their lack of hard work or dedication is worrying. But we definitely need to give him another year or two so we can find out.

Big year for him. Jury is still way out on him in terms of player development and recruiting. Way out. Very little discernible improvement in the wr room in his tenure.

Easy to say, but unless you have a contingency plan, why fire 🔥 Franklin??? Unless you have 64 million dollars laying around, and Urban Meyer is walking through the door at the Lasch building, what is the point of firing Franklin, literally?? WE ARE

I mean, unless you can pull Kirby Smart from Georgia, which is not happening, the college football coaches, are not like years ago!!! Bear Bryant, Joe Pa, Tom Osborne and Bobby Bowden were amazing and legends at the same time coaching 👏!!! It's not like that now days people!!! Franklin has way over 100 wins at Vanderbilt and in Happy Valley, he is a young coach, so patience is hard, I understand!!! But, to say just fire Franklin and not realizing that the grass isn't always greener and be careful what you wish for is fact!!!! WE ARE

It’s the end of July and Penn state STILL has James Vanderbilt franklin on staff. I guess we are content with losses to competitive teams. Another year another letdown
