Cracks in the Moon. This has long been known, but now you can see in detail. I invite you to fly around the moon III. These shots were taken by the Japanese SELENE Lunar Orbiter/Kaguya spacecraft.
In this video you can see large craters, mountains and cracks.
I did many days of work studying satellite images. I selected shots of particularly interesting parts of the moon. I hope you will like it!
Separately, I want to note that I always try to achieve the maximum image quality. While watching, expand to full screen and select the maximum quality in the player settings.

The KAGUYA's High-Definition Television (HDTV) system consists of a telephotographic camera and a wide-angle camera. 2.2M-pixel CCDs. One minute-long motion pictures are acquired by the HDTV system at 30 fps (frames per second).
One minute video scene is compressed, stored, and transmitted to the earth through 20 minutes.
Detectors: 3 CCD chips with 1920 х 1080 pixels.
FOV: 50.2 - 28.2 degrees for wide angle, 15.6 - 8.8 degrees for telescopic.
Exposure: Sampling interval of 1/59.94 seconds using an electronic shutter.
Operation mode: Movie mode, still mode.
Data compression: Flame compression (DCT scheme).
Semiconductor memory: ca. 2 Gbyte (corresponds to ca. 1 minute movie data).
Maximum transfer rate: 7.6 Mbps (RS-422, CCSDS packeting scheme).
The HDTV took more than 600 movies around the Moon during the all mission phases. The HDTV took images and performed the onboard processing in JPEG format. They were re-formatted to TIFF format on the ground. These TIFF images were converted to FITS format losslessly.
The Experiment Data Record (EDR) from the SELENE HDTV experiment are included in this data set. The EDR contains these FITS images. To comply with both FITS and PDS3 standards, each image has detached PDS3 label.
The HDTV acquired a total of 6.3 TB of movies and still images of the Earth and the Moon over the mission period that started on September 29, 2007, and ended on June 11, 2009.
