Day 2 of our Cradle Mountain holiday we decided to start with one of the most popular walks- ‘The Dove Lake circuit.’ This walk was beautiful! On this particular day it was extremely poor visibility and while we couldn’t see Cradle Mountain or much of any mountain, the walk itself was magnificent! Constantly changing landscapes throughout. Take notice of the information given from the Visitor Centre- we were warned of icy patches and conditions- and these were correct. Be careful- loose crunchy ice wasn’t bad, but the hard, smooth ice- particularly on stairs was super slippery, even with good hiking boots.
In the afternoon we decided to head to the Knyvet Falls which were amazing and an easy walk, before finding another super popular walk in this area called the ‘Enchanted walk.’ This walk lived up to its name, with moss, twisted trees, water flowing beside the track and so much beauty around every corner.
