Cradle during Midian all the way to damnation and a day best cradle of filth ever nick came in to early I think because they didn't seem to have themselves established at the time not until after Midian. Midian was the starting point then cruelty then so on.

John Dee That would be Travis Barker (American drummer). Nick Barker (English drummer) is a whole different thing. Both great drummers in their own respective domain.

Agreed dudes a beast man. But I have to say the drummer they found after him was just as good the left handed candid DVD is fucking amazing his drum skills showed alot man. But nick has him by a few steps especially his technique it's unmatchable man for this type of music there is and only will be one cradle of filth this is it I'd say cradle from 94 to 2005 is the greatest black metal band of that era better than behemoth better than mayhem better than dimmu period. His lyricism is unmatchable man. Dani fucking filth man

Me parece que a los 3:19 pierde un poco el tiempo y se debe meter Danny sobre el coro para rectificar. En definitiva es un pequeño detalle que se arregló rápidamente. Debe ser muy complejo mantener ese ritmo en una canción que dura tanto y tiene tantos cambios de velocidad.

At one festival I saw 3 artists with the highest vocal range. Corey taylor, Dani Filth and the highest vocal range was... The singer of Faith no more. I was amazed by hearing that. But I agree back in the 90's Dani was the best singer ever!

He doesn't have a "range" live. He can shriek high. On record he somehow records the low end vocals too, but when he does them live they sound flat and about an octave higher than on the recording.

For the bass nerds out there, Robin is definitly playing a 1978-1980 Aria SB1000. Same model that Cliff Burton played (although he also used a SB Black 'n Gold), but an older vintage. You can tell from the old-style headstock, which resembled a pair of bat wings. Gem of a bass, and totally appropriate for COF's visual aesthetic!

I didn't knew Nicholas work on Old Man's Child and tbh i only knew the band's name. I did what you say and now what can i say besides I love this man drumming,sound,style and especialy his composer skills on drums. Theres my piano coment. ( I'm not a drummer btw, i'm a bassist). Every fucking song he plays we can guess the music by only listen the drums track.Every band that this man"spend some time"imediatly got better. Again,amazing musician,drummer! Há muita malta que elogia o trabalho dele noutras bandas mais tarde, mas eu acho q ele nessa fase já se estava a deixar levar naquela da corrida para ver quem era mais rápido. Durante o tempo de Cradle o gajo tinha um estilo extremamente refinado e dinâmico. Só era rápido quando tinha de ser. Devias checkar um podcast do Stuart Anstis (aquele guitarrista alto da altura do Dusk e do Cruelty) que anda aí na net. O gajo fala sobre toda a experiência que teve com os Cradle nesses que para mim foram os melhores anos da banda.

Nicholas Barker, the mighty Hammer Of The Gods! Interestingly, for all the heat he and the producer of Cruelty had taken for that weird drum sound on this particular album, here at Astoria, his snare actually sounded OK, much similar to the one used in their 1999 EP From The Cradle To Enslave 5th track Funeral in Carpathia (Be Quick or Be Dead Version). Now imagine if this same snare sound had been used on Cruelty...
