What a great gift idea! I think you could also wrap a blank journal and tuck in similar items - flags, bookmarks, marker, pen, stickers, ephemera, etc. I don't do craft fairs, but I'm definitely using this idea for Xmas gifts this year. Thanks for such a great video! Hugs, Kris

Amber, thank you so much for sharing this great video! I made 14 books modeled like yours and I sold 10 at a craft show today, . My customers loved them! I sold them at $12 each or 2 for $20. Did very well. Had a few young girls ( 8-10 year olds) that like them but unfortunately my books were geared for adults. So, I’m making some for younger people and calling them “ Undercover Books” for my Nov. 9 th craft show. Again, Amber, thank you again for the great video about these books!

Thank you for sharing this idea! I was inspired to clean out my bookshelves and i put together 14 parcels. I am donating them to a senior home near me. I just used what i had. Instead of stickers, added an insirational note, doubled up on the tea and added a peppemint stick instead of a highlighter. ❤

Yes I will be trying my own version...I have so many beautiful books that are duplicates I have gotten over the years...now I know what I can do with them!! Thanks for sharing this, Amber! I saw these in a gift shop just yesterday. I am going to make one for my friend who will be in the hospital for surgery and rehab following. I know she will love it and it will lift her spirits.

i love the blind date with a book concept, I have bought many off etsy for myself and my kids. The average price for a hard cover was 25$ and the children’s book range from 10 - 15$

You did a great job. I’ve been selling mine from 16.00 to 24.00 depending on book and kids books around 12.00. I think you could get a lot more they are beautiful

Very cute. ❤ Im sure they will sell well for you. I love the idea of using lightly used books. Loved by someone and can be loved by someone else. I love them, but I think this is one of those times where less is more. I think it has so much going on that you can't appreciate the work you put into them. I think a bookmark, the pen/highlighter, and maybe the floral element would be enogh. Simple and cute at the same time. Im looking at it, and my eyes dont know what to focus on. I dont even know if I would add the tea. Im like you. I tend to overdo things. I dont know when enough is enough lol. Still lovely though.

I like this idea so much! This is the first time I've heard of blind date with a book. Thing is, I just bought a book last week for my son's birthday coming up, but wasn't sure how I wanted to wrap it. Now I know! I'll make it less frilly and tuck in some of his favorite candies and teas. Thank you so much!!

This is a great idea but in my opinion $12 isn't enough for this item. Depending on how much the book cost would be a big factor. When I create a new item for my craft fairs I always use a cost calculator to see exactly what I have invested in an item including time. I priced out all the items you listed except for the lavender bunch, twine and seam binding. Assuming you purchased the book at $ Tree and everything you have added your cost for these would be around $8.30. To sell them for $12 or 2/$20 do you feel you will make enough on these? Maybe $14 or 2/$24 is a better target. Don't undersell yourself you do great work on these items.

Have never heard of this, great idea. I have a few pounds of brown paper l get every month with my Chewy order. I flatten them out and keep it put away as l am still painting inside. But l may try to iron to see if l can't make it useful.
