I LOVE all of them. You do very nice work. I have made a few and am enjoying the process. Just stumbled onto your channel and can't stop watching. Don't know much about craft fairs but your time and products and all the embellishments and what some of the other viewers are saying, I think $30 to $35 would not be too much. I would buy your TN's. Omg, I just looove them. Especially the hello kitty one! I’m going to have to figure out how to make one like that one! You can sell that one for at least $25-30, and that’s lowballing it. It’s absolutely amazing! They all are!

They all look great, most people sell just the covers for $20 on Etsy and you have added so much into yours, I know you probably have most of the materials needed in your stash but you will have to replace it all at some point. Then you have the price of your stall fee, petrol to get to your craft fair, packaging, Also take into account what type of fair your selling at, is it a pure craft fair, market, school fund raiser, are you going to an affluent area where $30’would be expensive or would the shoppers think that was to cheap so think your product must be badly made. I’m not saying change your prices depending where you go but you need to take this into account when you make your journals, if you know the area is affluent fill your journals like you have and charge $30_$40. If your going somewhere that want cheap and cheerful, make your journals with a basic folder and one page insert and a paperclip and charge $15_$20 I hope you have a great day and sell out and hear lots of good feedback x

You've got a lot of work into your notebooks. You've laminated, sewn the paper seams etc. so many people don't realize the work plus , for example the cost of laminating sheets, and such. $50.00 is a lot, but I think $25-$30.00 is reasonable. I've never sold anything like this but to be honest I think $25 is too cheap. I mean you have to account for taxes, time and profit, not to mention materials, packaging, marketing, transportation, and any kind of additional overhead. If they were basic and no extras, then ya ok, like $20-$25 is fair. But if you are putting in clips, charms, washi, sticky notes, stickers, etc. then $25 is just too cheap. I think it devalues your time and product. That's just my 2 cents.

lol, that's actually pretty complicated. There's two ways to decide it. If you place an arbitrary price without considering all factors, you essentially are pricing blind. I think you should factor in all costs and then double it. Calculate your time and decide how much an hour you want to be paid. Decide how much profit you want to make and add that, because when you do not calculate for profit you are essentially just making your money back. Being paid for your time is not profit, its just getting paid for your time. lastly, calculate for taxes cuz that needs to be included. I don't know what the number is, but i don't think its a good idea to invest all that time and money and then just decide on what you think the market will tolerate without understanding how much your product actually costs to make. I've seen people sell their handmade TN's for $50 and up. The argument can be made that you can get a TN at a store for less, which is ofc true but if thats all you what then thats not your target customer to begin with. You are not a Chinese factory, so you can't try and compete with any mass produced product. I think in terms of price, the sweet spot is a combination of how much all the above factors are mixed with how much your target customer would pay. If your product is too expensive for that spot, you need to find a way to make it cheaper or quicker. Also, the challenge is finding your target customer, who may or may not be at this craft fair. Best of luck selling.

Small tiny one I would sell for 7-10 and the large ones about 25. I to have seen and I follow a couple gals who sell them for 50. Personally I would never pay more than 25.

remember, people who can make these items are not your target customer. of course those who can make them wouldn't pay that. but people who can't or don't have time and appreciate the effort and time that goes into handmade items will happily pay for such a wonderful item that was not made by slave labor in a third world country.

People sell them for over $50 on Etsy. I plan to sell mine for at least $20 each. I think we have an audience, but if it doesn’t take you as long, and your expenses are low, you shouldn’t rob the folks. It sucks taking all of that product home with you. Last year was my first, and I learned so much from it.

pricing for profit on handmade items is not robbing people. its appreciating your hard work and paying for your time and customers respect that on handmade items. cutting yourself short makes it look "cheap".
