I use the white elastic on my journals, but I take my ink pads and ink up my silicone sheet and mist it with a little water. I then drag my elastic through the ink and water. You can wad the elastic up and use multiple colors and create a tie die effect on your elastic.

Thank you Deanna. I had planned to look for this video today and it just popped up for me. A sign perhaps? I just got a small order of some glitter faux leather that I wanted to use for a TN. Plus I'm taking a course called How to Become a Die Cutting Pro with your Cricut and one of the project is creating a faux leather notebook so now I've got the size I need to cut out using my Cricut. This project ended up not being as difficult as I expected but I just went one step at a time and followed along with your video. Thanks again.

These are great! I've made larger ones and dyed my elastic with inks to match the covers. I've also used shimmer sprays on the elastic. Just thought you might like to try that since you already have the white elastic. Love all of your projects. I find myself looking for your new videos everyday lol. Keep up the awesome work!

These are so cute, and perhaps you could use alcohol inks to color the elastic if you have any. It dies ribbon nicely so it might work for the elastic as well. I love your videos you do very nice projects. TFS.

lynn williams, I used heat n bond ultra and fabric for the lining. I have twisted and pulled the bajeebers out of the finished product and it is holding up excellently

Love this video and cover! Would it be okay to score the folder, cut the tabs, corners, and pocket, then laminate, and then assemble the folder? Do you see any pitfalls in doing it that way? I can’t cut or slice a straight line to save my soul! :)
