"Easy" if you have a work shop 😂 great video all the same.

You don’t need a workshop, you just need a few tools and desire :)

I like that you use materials that you have laying around. For the punch, was that an old rail spike?
@CopperFishLure10 ай бұрын
Hello, the material from which the punch was made was a turning tool

@@CopperFishLure thank you. I think I am going to try to make a punch from a rail spike as I have one in my scrap pile.

imprinting contours with an aluminum punch will probably work just as well as steel
@CopperFishLure Жыл бұрын
aluminum is a soft metal, for medium and large spinners you can use Tsam alloy, like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lX64XqOkbrqkqbM

Доброї ночі !!! Питання ::: а чі не простіше зробити змінні прокладки - матриці з різними малюнками в один і той самий корпус матриці ????? ЗДОРОВ'Я УДАЧІ БЛАГОПОЛУЧЧЯ
@CopperFishLure3 ай бұрын

No clue how you got that to work. Tried that today. Had to bake the caps in my bbq Then the plastic wouldnt mix right and the mold inside was all lumpy Then when i tested a piece of brass it got stuck inside the mold This video makes this look way easier then it is lol

I have a lot of videos on this topic recommendations: 1. The plastic must be heated with a construction fet with hot air 2. the punch should be made on a cone so that the workpiece is easy to get, 3. to have a glossy surface in the middle of the matrix where the bait is formed, for this the punch must be hot, you can then reheat the top layer and clamp it in a vice tightly I hope my advice will be useful to you, I also did not immediately succeed
@thegreatwhitenorth87543 ай бұрын
@@CopperFishLure ok. Its def. Not easy thats for sure I did not heat the metal before putting it in the plastic I will try again

@@CopperFishLure update.... I have found an awesome alternative!!! JB weld steel stick 2 part epoxy putty I made a little box from a coke can like you did Mixed the jb weld together Packed it in the box Covered the metal die in olive oil and pushed it into the JB weld Pulled it out Let it cure and get nice and hard for an hour And it actually works!!!! Just made my 1st copper lure!!

@@thegreatwhitenorth8754 Hello, instead of plastic crisps you can use reusable plastic polymorph, it becomes soft when you immerse it in water, on the channel there is a new video just made by this method kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4CohGd5m8ZpfKs
