My grandma passed away today. She taught me how to sew and cook and do many things. She sewed beautiful clothes for me and hemmed things for me. She used part of her garage as a craft sewing area too. I'm very thankful for your video, it makes me think of her and gives me some comfort and relief from the tears. If you could ever give her a shout out it'd be wonderful for her memory, no pressure either way. Her name is Milika (pronounced Mil Lee Kuh) and she is the most amazing woman I've ever known. She survived cancer 3 times, she escaped communist occupation of Yugoslavia while 8 months pregnant, she raised 7 children with her husband my grandpa they were married over 55 years before he passed in 2017, and they had 10 of us grandkids who all lived in the same city and regularly spent time with them. I was the eldest grandkid. She was very passionate about her culture (Romanian) and her faith (Christian) and loved making food for people and praying for blessings on everyone. Always smiling and laughing. A true beautiful soul who will forever be missed. ❤ Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this.

This is looking SO cute! The rugs make it look so so pretty! Also just to let you know I was always told to store markers and pens horizontally or they dry up, so you could just flip the pen storage onto its side if you wanted to 🥰

It looks incredible! Not sure if the temperature is stable but if it does fluctuate/ get cold in there - I'd recommend insulating the garage door, pretty simple to do and easy to remove if you need to one day.

You’re a much nicer and patient person than I am. As hard as everything is to put together and time consuming..then realizing I had to REDO, I would probably have been stomping my feet and flinging my arms up in the air…and turning out the lights. That nightmare day would be over. 😂

Great creative space! I'm happy your dream has come true. Just a side note, I was told to keep my markers laying flat. It keeps the ink to stay level and makes them last longer. You can still use that container just put it on its side and maybe slightly elevate the front so they stay put. Just my two cents!!!

Hey Kennedy this turned out soooooo cute!!! you have been such a cozy inspiration for me!!! I will say if there's mold there's moisture... so maybe getting a de-humidifier for the space can help! i would hate for all your cute stuff to get mold on it!

Your craft room turned out awesome!! I use our garage to do furniture painting/refurbishing and anything needing painting or spray painting... however our garage is about 100 years old (literallY) and we mostly use it for storage but we also get squirrels and raccoons! I wish it was nice enough to do something like this in it!! It looks fabulous and I LOVE THE KALLEX system!! I think I may have to redo my craft room with those!! Soooo nice!

i just had to laugh at you befriending the spiders 😂 My partner uses our new house's back garage as his office (plus workout area plus game room - it's a massive space, even has a wood fired stove) and he has been on a CAMPAIGN to kill every last bug in that place since we moved in 2 months ago. Granted we also live in Australia so our spiders go a bit further than daddy long legs 👀 I love what you've done with the place 😊 having a suitable spot to do messy craft is so wonderful - our kids do painting with their dad, and Play-Doh and whatnot, in the office hobby area. I have a corner of my office for sewing, I'm jealous of the space they have but also like that i don't have to worry about spiders 😂
