I really enjoyed your tour and thank you for sharing your creative space with us. I like the idea of the plastic bag storage for your stamps and dies. That would be easier for placing them in my current basket/plastic bin storage; vs. keeping them in the original plastic packaging; that keeps ripping the more I try to access that stamp/die. Currently I have a room for all my stuff; but since we are a military family and move so often; my dedicated furniture gets moved around [to other spots in the house] due to floor layout and what is needed for the more functional rooms. Like storage of kids toys and books. I always seem to lose the items to hold my craft stash (darn it). I am constantly evolving my craft space and trying to keep it clean! I find myself working on the floor more than at a desk! My grandma would say that is my American Indian heritage coming out in my crafting.😊 Thanks for showing how you keep your scraps of paper. That is what I need help purging on a reg. basis. Always enjoy your videos and your humor! Your mum did a great filming job. My son said, "I wonder how these you-tubers always do such a great job at filming!" I think you have the right amt of glue--I have a fear of running out too. Or the product not being made again so I buy multiples! Cheers!

Thanks a lot for sharing with us your beautiful and well organised space 😊, a big hug for your mum that was so adorable 🤗. I have bought one alex unit and during this winter in Melbourne, I couldn’t open the drawers to get my stuff out of them. Now, no problem with those so I’m planning to buy a couple more. 😬 Have a lovely weekend 🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷🌷💐💐🌺🌺

Hi Connie, Since I created this video I did 'google' how to extend the drawers and I did change a couple up (but they were a little less stable) but I also found that if I actually took the whole drawer out and pulled on the tracks a few times that they shifted much easier and came out further, not perfect but heaps better. I think I should have had your husband visit, that would have been much easier lol. Hugs, Therese

You are so cute! I love your space, your organization and you!! I was surprised to see your copic collection is about the same size as your first tour. What a lot of work keeping those stamp binders!! What do you do with your older stamp sets that you don't keep? Great to "see" you and hear you and your mom laugh! Hugs from Canada!! 🍁
@lostinpaper6 жыл бұрын
Hi Lori, I rarely add to my Copic colours, instead I make these ones work and add to the 'refills' instead which seems to work well for me. I know the stamp binders are a lot of work, but it doesn't take me long when I use my large Fiskars Stamp Press, I pretty much get a set stamped in one go. the real time save with these binders comes later when I am planning cards, it's so much quicker than flicking through stamp packets. Also it's amazing what stamps you find in a set when you actually stamp them out... I have mostly given away older sets but just have had a bit of a purge and was wondering if I should consider a better option, I'm still thinking on it though, you can't rush these things lol. Thank you! This is the direction I want to go: neatly contained, but visible. I like to see what I have. Interesting that my daughter-in-love is the opposite and can't work in clutter. It will be fun to create a space for my crafty stuff and her artsy stuff in one room (at least that's my vision, she may actually prefer to paint by herself!). I will show her this tour and see if she still thinks it is too visually cluttered. I am actually considering tool chests for the things you have in the Alex carts, because they open all the way and because there's a nice mix of shallow and deep drawers. And I know I need a U-shaped space. My previous space had the worktable in the center and I was constantly getting up and walking around to get one more thing.

Oh how I would love your space... I have been thinking of making a record of all my stamps but it seems too daunting.. did it take you forever... xx
@lostinpaper6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sally, it does take time to record stamps and I know a lot of people have started to do it on their computers, but I am a visual kind of person (and old fashioned) and this system seems to work for me. I don't get too stressed about how 'well' the images stamp out, I use my large fiskars stamp press and can pretty much stamp a set in one go. I don't put my stamps 'away' until I've stamped them out otherwise it would never get done. The folders I use have 'zip' inserts so I can move the plastic sheets around (it's much easier than pulling pages out of the plastic each time I run out of space or want to move something). And once it's done it seriously saves me so much time when planning designs etc that it is well worth the effort for me. Crafty hugs, Therese ps I would suggest to maybe just stamp out either your most fave sets only, or the company that you love and use the most and see what you think from there. (it's amazing what stamps you find in a set when you actually stamp it out, especially those little sneaky ones)
@sallystapleton42376 жыл бұрын
lostinpaper thank you for that advice Therese. I am a very organised person and I spend more time organising than crafting sometimes. I really can’t be creative if I’m in a mess. I think I will try your suggestions and do a few and see how it goes. I have also been looking for an app or something similar that I could use to catalogue all my stamps,dies and inks etc. I have made mistakes before and have ended up with doubles of items. I’m not going to judge you as I was sorting some boxes earlier today and found a large box with soooo much glue and tape.. lol xx

I can only dream about having a craft room. I craft on my dinning table, needless to say we don't eat at that table. I am waiting for hubbie to make space in his "Man Cave" for me but who knows how long that will be. I love the idea of stamping all the stamp sets into a folder, I dont have many sets but perhaps now would be a good time to get started on it. I assume you just use 80gsm printer paper for stamping on, is that correct? When you need to get rid of some older stamp and die sets could you let me know I would be interested in seeing what you have. Regards Liz.

I agree, I actually prefer my 'narrower' units for that very reason. Although I have fixed my drawers a bit by pulling on the sliding channel, now they actually do come out further but still not as good as the narrow ones. Hope you have a great day, thanks for visitng, Crafty hugs, Therese
