Hello from Minnesota. I am a mom of a 25 year old son and a 21 year old daughter who has special needs. She requires 24/7 care we have LPN and RN care but on nights that we don't have staff on the overnights I have a crafting area across from her bedroom that I spend time in. With a TV to keep me company while I am crafting. I love your space that you have to be creative. Also your storage solutions gave me great ideas, I didn't realize Micheals had so much to offer I know I will be taking a trip there. Thank you for sharing.

I think what I like most about this video is the genuineness of your space: while we all love to have a designated room or studio .. the reality is MANY OF US DO NOT... so to see a YTuber as popular as you show a simple small but TOTALLY EFFECT work space is great! Me have a huge space in my basement but it is no where as useful as your small space. Wonderful video‼️💯🤗🙏🏽

It's so great seeing someone else who uses the breakfast room of their home for a craft room! I've considered moving upstairs to the rarely-used guest room, but downstairs is where life happens, and I'm pretty sure moving upstairs would mean I don't create as often. It's actually a great location. I'm downstairs with my family, I can easily make things while waiting on things in the oven or on the stove, it has a tile floor for easy clean-up, and it's mere steps from my kitchen sink. Thankfully, it's tucked away in the back of the house, so it's not an area that's on display when people come over. You know, back when we could have people over.

Grateful for you as I too have a Son who's 5 1/2 years old and has Autism. I am a SAHM as well and feel blessed to be able to give AJ my all. I kept waiting and waiting to see how you store your Copic markers, mine are the new kids in the room in my crafts space, I had wanted them for so long but never really was sure where to start so I just kept putting off taking the plunge till finally I just jumped but now I have the start of my Copic collection but have yet to come up with a good storage system for me. I had just been thinking about one of those rolling carts but was then "stuck" on what to do with them once I got the cart . . . enter Mindy Eggen and her awesome solution, THANK YOU !!! You've inspired me not only with your creativity & talent in the crafting world but also in/with storage solutions. I am so impressed with how much you have in such a small space. You have everything organized so well. My craft room needs to be redone so bad. I actually have two. My main one and when my son moved out I took over his bedroom. I call it my overflow craft room. I know, sad. I have stuff in there that I don’t use on a regular basis. I like the containers for your cubes. I have the IKEA drawers and it’s frustrating that you can’t access the back of each drawer. I didn’t know this before I bought them. You are the first person to say the drawers are too deep and you can’t reach into the back. Very frustrating. Thanks for sharing your craft room. I love seeing how everyone organizes.

I, too, have been reorganizing to make it work better. I am fortunate that there is pegboard on the walls. So I have become creative with that. Of course, I don't have as much to store as you do, but it is enough for now. This has become my retirement hobby! lol. Anyway, thanks for sharing your techniques, etc. Love watching your videos!

I loved seeing your craft room. I share mine with my husband, so I know what a small space is like. But he built me some shelves for my markers and ink pads which I have on my desk space and go up the wall. I use a dresser for my stamps and envelopes. I have a Walmart shelving unit that I use for most of my dies and cardstock. I could go on but that's alot of it and a rolling cart next to my chair for everytime you craft items. Again thanks for sharing and giving us all some more ideas.

I am impressed by your space. I am in the process of bringing up some of stamping supplies upstairs from a full basement, my husband has ALZ and I really don’t feel like I can no long spend hours in the basement. The LR, DR is all open, the DR table is huge, so I could use half of it for crafting. There are two small dressers in there, one I use as a buffet, but could empty of out, so I could have a little draw space I might even be able to bring my Ales drawers up, at this point it’s in the planning stage. Mindy, I store my blending handles in a silicone ice cube tray and they fit in the Alex drawers. I have a handles for each color and works awesome!

Wow! You’ve packed a LOT into a small space, in an organized fashion! Awesome! I have the 5 x 5 Kallax unit. I think it’s the largest. I got it second hand, like new, for a great price! I agree about the Alex drawers. You have to be creative to use the back of them! Thanks for sharing! 😊❤️

Hi Mindy, I just found your channel and subscribed, a little late I know, but I'm glad I did. I love your space, to me it's cozy and I love that it doesn't separate you from your family. I have a small space also in my bedroom. It's in my closet where I removed the mirror doors and use shelves for my supplies. To make room I traded my bed for a futon and I unfold it when I go to bed, but during the day I put it back up, which is pretty cool because it gives me a place to sit when I need a break from being at my desk for a long time. Thank you for your videos, they give me lots of ideas and you're very talented.

Loved this video! Your space is a little bigger than mine, but I also sit between two tables, one of which has Michael's "boxes" stacked on them for holding my paper supplies. And my back wall is an IKEA book shelf fixture that holds most of my stamps sets and yardsticks. I have 3 walls that form my niche in my bedroom, since my daughter and her family moved in with us and I lost my extra bedroom/craft room! I actually recently moved my dies into a section of my clothing closet that I put shelves in . But it is amazing to see what you can fit in such small spaces. You have some good ideas that I like, and want to try, like your paper packets all labeled by brand. Thanks for sharing your workspace -- I really enjoyed your tour!

OMG Mindy this was so informative. I actually now have a designated room. Small bedroom but it's just barely finished. No kids left in the nest so... but having such a time trying to get containers to have everything at the ready. Just when I'm prepared to order selfs, etc Gina has a release or Tim explodes and there goes the cash. Speaking of that Gina is tonight by golly and I can't just do the kit. I've already seen the sneak peak for one designer and of course it's on the list. I'm just me. No perks. Not on any design teams. Just me donating my time n supplies to area disadvantaged youth n senior centers. All with my retirement funds after working forever in corrections. But I've done Art n all crafts since I was a kid. I began 15 years ago thinkin I wanted to Scrapbook. Then I took a class using metal stencils for greeting cards. I was hooked. But I have punches, cricut equipment, etc. The list goes on. I need to donate so much but many things are no longer viable. Hard to just throw away. I too love dies. Every stamp set has its matching dies. I thank you for such an in depth video. I learned so much. I tell my husband constantly if I croak get on my phone and contact the people I follow and search out purchasing sites I use because what I own in supplies will prove valuable to him. Right?

What a great space!! You really made good use of every bit of space! It’s also perfect so that you can be close to your son!! My main crafting space is very similar to yours, but it seemed like it took years before I got my room the way I wanted! My room isn’t that big, and I need a recliner in there because it’s also my bedroom!! ( I can’t sleep in a bed due to my disabilities!)
