Linda, yes, lots of work and so well worth it. I honestly think my room is how I want it. I always say, "I'm not changing anything around, I love it" Kinda like when you purchase a new car and say "I love this so much, I'll never purchase another. What a pleasure it must be to have a room like that with all your supplies on hand. I do not have many supplies but just have to keep them in two separate cupboards. You have however given me inspiration to sort them out and maybe that will help me to start doing some crafting again.

Please do that, Susan. Organizining is the best. I have 2 small cupboards for my baking supplies and I reorganized before holiday baking. Oh my ......... the expired items I tossed. Old Mother Hubbard's cupboards are now bare but, that doesn't mean I'll restock, that would add pounds. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Have a wonderful day.

Thanks Melodie, it's something I really had to do and it's finished. I'll never move this furniture again, I was so sore afterwards and my right shoulder blade is still giving me a bit of trouble. This all took place just before Thanksgiving ..... that darn end cap on my desk really twisted my panties. 🤣🤣🤣 I hate being a type A personality at times. 🙈 xo

Barbie your room looks great! I love it! And your closet…what a difference. I need to go thru and do a clean up, clean out session myself. If I don’t clean up in between projects it’s becomes overwhelming and I can create at all. I have to tell you that I have that same little rack you have hanging off the end of your desk, over there were your keeping the cart. I found mine at a thrift store and it never occurred to me to hang it off the side. I’ve just been sitting it on my desk. I use it to hold different papers while I’m working on a project. Now I’m looking to see if I can hang it from my desk.🤣🥰

Hey, Pam ........ find a spot for it. I think I'm finally set and ready to go. My problem now is, I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING ........it's all tucked away nice and neat so I have to familiarize myself with it all again. The other day I needed something badly and had to look through bins in the cellar 🤣😂🤣 it's such a good feeling though. My, my what a lot of stuff you have! But you did a great job organizing it all! It's so much easier to be productive when everything is in order. I'm pretty organized, I just need a bigger desk. On the look out for one to add to the one I have ....we'll see what I come up with! 😊

Christine, it's been 25, going on 26 years of buying. When you have twin boys and have been scrapbooking 2 books at the same time, one tends to buy double. It all adds up. For the past couple years I'm using everything I have, other than making a very small purchase here and there for inks, stamps, etc. Good luck on the desk such. I know lots of gals make purchases at IKEA and they like what they pick out. My desk came from Ballard Design back in 1997 and I love it. Have a great day and happy crafting ✂️🩷🎨 xo

Have bought a new house and so far have just been planning on paper where everything will go. Hope it all works out as nicely as yours has! Like you, I get very frustrated when I can't GET to my things, so my new layout in a larger room should alleviate that problem. Enjoy your newly organized room. You wouldn't have had to disassemble your Martha Stewart shelf unit. You could by some furniture movers that you place under the 4 corners of your furniture. It makes moving furniture so much easier. Just a suggestion. You did a good job organizing and moving things around. Looks great.

Thank you Maria. I like your suggestion very much and thought of that, however, the unit has three sections to it and the under carriage is funky. Believe it or not, the bottom section the drawers and door set on is hollow and that wouldn't have worked. It's a beast. I actually have a nice piece of thin wood underneath the unit so it doesn't mess up the carpet. (very strange construction) Thanks for coming to see my move! xo 🥰

My craft room prior to moving into my sons bedroom was much smaller and I really do enjoy this space. I am so blessed. However, a smaller room would be fine as well, my closet was much bigger in my old room so lots and lots of stuff was shoved in there. i got a new sublimation printer for christmas and it felt like i was moving to try and make space for it i love getting new stuff but it sure does make alot of work im so excited i got the peachy cheap grab bag today im so excited to see what all i get i missed out on the last several but i got it this time yay i also got a temu order coming yet and im going to hobby lobby and michaels this week so im having a great month so far and its day 1 i sold alot over christmas so i need to restock things

Thank you for sharing your reorganization, Barbie! It just makes sense to have what we use most often at hand, and sometimes it takes awhile to get it just right. When we do, it’s wonderful! That was a fantastic buy at Joann’s! When I moved my quilting studio downstairs, I was able to give some thought to the flow and what needed to be near me. I can’t work in chaos either. I love things to be neat and have a place for everything. My studio is truly my happy place! I missed being in there over the holidays with all the “holiday” things to do. Thanks for stopping by to check out the old craft room !! The black shelf unit is very old. I purchased that from either Land of Nod or Ballard Design back in the late 90's maybe into 2000-2001. It actually folds up and it also has 2 corner 3 tierd shelving units that are tucked away. I hope you find something like this b/c it comes in so handy and is so easy to move.
