Wow thanks for sharing your storage tips I have struggled with these Dies but kept them because I love them too and use them. I will be copying how you divided them with folder tabs and the vinyl labels. For now mine are in a basket as this was the only thing they fit into that I could flip through them to see what I needed.

Like you, I still have many ‘old’ metal dies. I invested in them, I don’t see the need to get rid of them. I don’t have as many as you do, but I appreciate your storage ideas and will consider them for my VERY small space.

thanks so much for the quick die cut tour, I have the same sizzix strips as you do, I love them, but the way you stored them is very clever. Going to Michael's to see if I can find that drawer, I have the 3 drawer one. I am going to do the vinyl as well, so much better than the way I have them. I have them organized by category, but in the sizzix storage boxes, takes up way too much room..thanks so much for taking the time, so very impressed with your organization skills, off for 2 days from work going to be trapped in my craft studio, thanks again..be well..

Great tips, i have the empress, and was trying to see if other plates would work, could you give some insight to the sandwiches you use in the empress machine, tfs!

❤️thank you! Yes, I have found the empress to be a little tricky, and I have had to mix and match other brand plates. For my decorative strips I use the thicker genius platform and 1 sizzix plate, and for my metal dies I use the thinner genius platform and 2 sizzix plates. Definitely try out what works for you, then washi them up 😉

Thank you! Always open to new ideas. I love organization. And yes to Sizzix! I forgot to put my machine, case and dies up high prior to Hurricane Harvey. I spent an entire afternoon at the house by myself cleaning and disinfecting each and every element. I salvaged everything except the foam inserts for the individual boxes. I relabeled everything I could. It was so cathartic.

Mary Ram People are switching over to electronic die cutting machines, so you can find the old dies at thrift stores, EBay, etc. We have a ‘crafts only’ thrift store here called “Who Gives a Scrap.”
