When I worked and lived alone, I had a large home with a designated craft room, I worked as receptionist for a law firm and they paid me to make cards for staff birthdays, plus some staff asked me for additional cards. Then in 2012 I got a brain tumour, strokes left me unable to use my left arm, I no longer work and moved back in with my sweet mum who at 70 is now my carer. I still love crafting but need her help with anything requiring two hands. Your videos are my calm time, they give me great ideas and lift my spirits when I have a bad day. Thanks and much love Jennifer ❤

Thanks for reiterating that people don't need to have this many supplies or a whole craft room. I've been on both sides of the spectrum, from zero dedicated space for crafting to designing a room, like I am now. I think a lot of us forget that it doesn't take a ton of products or supplies to make something great, and I so appreciate you highlighting that!

I'm a guy, and I normally am interested in building stuff, repairing my home, and stuff like that. I have done some painting, but you are the reason why am now interested in making cards. I have watched and learned so much from you Jennifer. You are not just an amazing artist/crafter; you are such a great mentor. I got my girlfriend interested in card making after showing her your channel. Now she watches you too. Thank you for all your content and talent. Oh and I'm also reorganizing my supply room to turn into half supply/building tools and crafts studio/supply.

It is so obvious that your sense of organization is a necessary part of your crafting. It's also obvious that your talent far exceeds your creative side. I'm thinking that your organizational skills could be another job outlet for you (not that we want you to do anything other than creating). Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful room with us. It helps us hobby crafters a lot. I have taken on your clear stamp and die storage and I love it. Oh and my cardstock thanks you for that system as well. You teach me something new every day.

What a beautiful room, Jennifer, and so tidy!! It puts mine to shame... Every now and again I have a blitz and tidy up but I’ve got a LOT of stuff in a relatively small room and I’m not a particularly tidy worker. Also, I have a lot of different things on the go so there’s always a lot out. I use Really Useful Boxes and the room is fitted out with kitchen units with no doors, so a lot of open shelves. There is a curving MDF work surface around 3 sides of the room so I can move from zone to zone, and some of the floor units are on castors so they pull out if I want to sit there. Having different places to sit, I can only sit at one at a time so I thought, why waste storage space? The fourth wall is taken up with large storage. I need to be a lot more organised with my stamp and die storage as it’s rapidly outgrowing the space I’ve got, and my Distress Inks drive me nuts, being in boxes. I have electric power points all around the room which is very handy. The only thing stored outside the room is my 12 x 12 papers which live in my mum’s old music cabinet on the landing - it has numerous shallow drawers with drop-down fronts and the packs of paper fit exactly. Your room is an absolute delight, and full of glorious colour too!! I am trying not to be jealous... Actually many people are jealous of my room! I always say I’m going to do a studio tour once I get it tidy and organised but somehow that day never seems to come haha!!

OMG Jennifer! You have the organizational skills of a war general, matched only by your creativity. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this tour of your work space. You've given me valuable ideas on how I can better reconfigure my own little craft room, which of course, doesn't have even a fifth of the supplies you own, but that could definitely be better organized for increased productivity. I had very much been looking forward to this peek inside your inner sanctum. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing so much of your life with us. I have learned more from you than anyone else. Even though I started crafting with Anna Griffin, my crafting style has changed drastically over the past few years. I enjoy creating my own works of art and not always having a kit to work with. I realize some crafters need a kit, but I was born to craft and always found it better if I did things my way. I am not a neat crafter even though I wish I was. It's just not going to happen. Recently I was sick for a few months and stayed in the hospital and a skilled nursing facility. When I returned home was husband was so proud he had my sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, and son clean my house including my craft room. I am still putting things back in their proper places and will be for months to come. It was such a nice thought, but when people aren't crafters and don't have a clue what craft tools do what, it can be a little daunting. I just smile and say Thanks and keep putting things back where they belong when I finally find them. Thanks again and most of all thanks for telling us about the tools you use. I just received my Dazzle dies and am loving them.

This video was extremely helpful for me. I appreciate that yours is not the "poster room that Ikea built." You use you drawers like a "real person" would, and it's so helpful. I especially love your stamp storage methods. I began that with my SU stamps, and I think putting them in "fridge trays" (Amazon) will make life easier I've got several drawer units from Walmart that can fit under my work tables. Also, your embellishment storage is awesome. Duh, store by color. Same with the buttons, etc. This was such an educational tour for me, and I appreciate it greatly. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

Hi Jennifer, I love your organizational style. I was sent the link for how you use the soda bins for clear stamps after I had made labels for the "DVD" style containers. While I'm not ready to undo what I've already created with my stamp sets, I love how the same bin works so beautifully for the embossing folders and die sets. I can see myself making some great changes in the near future. I hadn't given much thought to precutting my cardstock, however, you've shown a valid point; I can see how I would be more likely to make cards if everything is precut and ready to go. I've got my work cut out for me and with your videos, I'm encouraged that my happy space will be ready sooner than later!

Jennifer, one of your videos was the first I stumbled onto when I wanted to start seriously crafting. I agree that you appear to be down-to-earth....love that! The first time I saw your craft room at the other house, I was overwhelmed until I played it over in my mind and "heard" you say again, that this was your job and you don't have to buy everything at once to start crafting. In a few years my husband and I will be downsizing because of our ages. However, I'm planning on a craftroom space. It won't have your island & will be confined to one wall, but it will have a bank of windows or one large one because I love crafting in natural light. I shared your video with my daughter, who is getting ready to build a new house & she had my initial reaction..."WOW!" She is not into crafting, but your organization blew her away and inspired her. So THANK YOU for your kindness to share, and have a very Blessed day.
