oh gayle, i hope your sewing machine makes a speedy recovery. your boho snippets are mouth watering eye candy!!! looking forward to part 2. i know what you mean about the fireworks-a few years back we had a bottle rocket come flying over our roof, land on our deck! when we had our roof replaced a few years ago they discovered a few more that landed in the gutter-geesh right! as soon as i hear the fireworks i get tense until they stop. hope you got all the glue washed up and off, tfs friend :)

Oh Gayle - I’m so sad for you that your sewing machine broke. I have to admit - I was a little relieved when you talked about your reaction when it stopped working. At the beginning, when you first started talking about it breaking, I was thinking “How can she be sooo relaxed about it breaking?” “I would be devastated.” That being said - I hope it’s an easy fix for you. This is a beautiful cover. The colors are gorgeous. I had to laugh when you were talking about how heavy your old Singer is. I know exactly what you are dealing with. I have a 76 model. I don't use it anymore but can't bare to get rid of it. It's like an old friend that I've made many memories with. Hope you don't have to wait too long get your other one repaired. Oh, poor sweetie. :-( I am so sorry about the sewing machine trama!! What an awful thing to have happen...but, what a strong needle, punched right through a mirror, wow! LOL!! I have to send my machine for a fix every 18months because I do a project that sends the tension squiffy. Still haven’t worked out what does it but thankfully the manufacturer is in the UK too and they pick it up and send it back good as new within a week for £75 (which includes courier costs and all repairs and service).

Hi Gayle, I LOVE your cover (the two fabric choices). Really beautiful! The Boho bundle from Sheila is just spectacular; such a pretty assortment of material. You have started some gorgeous bases, for sure. I have an array of Batik bases ready to go, so maybe I will just try and craft along with you today! I am so very sorry about your sewing machine - happy that you have the back up machine, but that is definitely enough to cross your path, right? Gayle, you make it look so easy. I just finished my first Boho journal and it took forever. The sari pieces are so pretty but it was hard to know where to put them, how to use them... this has already helped alot!

Beautiful fabrics. Looking forward to seeing how the snippets come out. I like the idea of putting the fabric covers over a big envelope. I used a manilla folder once, and it was too stiff. I bet the timing was thrown off on your sewing machine. That's when the upper thread and the lower thread no longer connect, I believe. Hope you get it back soon.

I'm out of action at the moment, a bad winter ailment has hit me - so more time to browse and get ideas...I don't know what a "snippet is" so now I'm going to look that up, possibly within your archives....but I do know I have a lot of sari "snippets" myself, and your sad story of what happens when you inadverently sew over a sequin means that one should be wary. My own sewing machine needs an overhaul, so I haven't been sewinng anything as it is...
