I've been doing a lot of embroidery lately with a double running stitch -- like doing the crosses in cross stitch, it's deeply satisfying, but also amazing.

If you come back the other way with x's rather than bars, it's easier to weave in your tails.

I do all sorts (I even have a degree in creative stuff) but cross stitch embroidery is the most calming of all the crafts I do

Yeah, I didn't realise quite how much I love it until I made this video 🥰 A lot of people I know have it and it wasn't until recently that someone brought it up that I might have it, and suddenly so much makes sense 😂 We'll see how it goes with the tests and such!

You cross stitch very similarly to me! But I go horizontal instead of vertical. I also weave in my ends like you do too, only I have anxiety that I'm going to run out of thread (even if I have 5 times the amount needed) and so I only thread through 5/6 bars on the back.

I get really anxious with finishing and ending stitching when regular sewing, but for some reason when I'm cross stitching my chaos brain takes control and anything can happen 😂

I bet the tripod isn’t the weirdest thing that they have seen while delivering the mail. Also how to tell your not in Canada our post more often than not brings the notice to pick up a parcel not the actual parcel! Maybe you should get tested for ADHD or you know all of us Oh and instead of working the beginning into your stitches. Take one strand fold in half. Thread the two ends into the needle start your first stitch and put the needle through the loop of the folded strand. Hope that makes sense

No, you're probably right! I'm sure the posties round here have had an eyeful! I think I'd rather be in Canada at the moment even so! Yeah, I've looked into it and the wait list for a test on the NHS is over a year, so maybe I'll know by Christmas 😅 I can't quite visualise that method but I'll do some experimenting!
