After you paint gnome- you can cover in varnish and then paint entire gnome black then immediately wipe off and then the black will be left in all the nooks and crannies.

What is an embossing tool

Sorry I should have shown a close up. It is a double ended tool. They sell them at DollarTree. It has a metal ball on each end one a little bit bigger than the other. It is designed to draw out designs on paper or thin metal and give it a raised bump type effect. You could also use a dried up ball point pen or the end of a paint brush if it is rounded a bit. I hope this helps. The next time I use it in a video, I will show a close up for you. 👍🏻💡🙂
