Thanks for your great video! I know you created it a long time ago but I'm just getting around to trying it. May I suggest a tip for your dies so they don't get stuck to your tripod? Go to a store like Harbor Freight or an auto supply store and buy a Magnetic Parts Tray. They are not expensive. They are heavily magnetized and can sit on your table. When you cut with your dies, just toss your "used" die into the tray, it will stick in there like glue! When you're project is done, or if you have to recut something, you'll know right where your dies are--when your project is done, just gather them all up and put them away. I was told that mechanics/builders use these trays to toss pulled bolts/screws, etc. into while they're working--auto workers often stick them to the hood of the vehicle they're working on. I chose the rectangular one over the round version. Here's a link to some at Harbor Freight but honestly, any auto supply store or probably even any woodworking place will have them: www.harborfreight.com/search?q=magnetic+trays I also photocopy the package of the dies and tape it onto a magnetized sheet (Best price is at hardware stores like Home Depot--buy magnetized vent covers and cut them to the size you need; they are so much cheaper and way stronger than the craft store version. www.homedepot.com/p/Frost-King-Magnetic-Vent-Covers-MC815/100345609 and if you buy 5 packages (I think) they're even cheaper. I almost forgot...I tape the photocopy of the dies to these magnetic sheets, that way, if II don't have a die sitting on top of it's photocopied image, I know I've misplaced a die. And if I find a loose die somewhere and don't know where it goes, I put it in that tray and eventually, I'll come across a die set missing it's die over it's image. I hope these tips are helpful!

Thanks for the demo. I’ve made waterfalls for mini albums in the past, just by measuring and assembling manually. I’m really torn about this entire album system. I love making mini albums. They really push my creativity. Having said that, there is something to be said for having all the components in one big set. I think my biggest hesitation is the fact that I’m limited to just one size using these dies 🤔. Something to think about. Again, thanks for breaking the process down for us. I really enjoy your videos!
@VianneyCreates5 жыл бұрын
I'm with you. I don't know about getting the whole set. I like that it's all in one, but then all of the albums would be the same. I don't find making albums by hand super difficult, so it's not worth the current price tag. I'll bet if we hold tight, they will go down in price. However, Sara had announced that prices across her site will go up after the first of they year due to production costs, etc... /:

I just learned yesterday that it’s called a speed bump and angling the paper so that the angle is not exactly parallel with the rollers helps avoid that. How often have you needed the full size Gemini? I’m trying to decide on it or the jr. Thanks!!
@VianneyCreates5 жыл бұрын
LOL! I forgot about that "term" for this phenomenon...I remember hearing Stephanie Barnard saying it all the time. I'll have to remember angling them, if possible, next time. I need a larger machine like the Gemini whenever the dies are bigger than 6" wide and 8" long. I usually bring out the Empress then, though.
@NessysSanctuary4 жыл бұрын
I know this is old but I have just started to use these dies and i have got myself into pickles of jars over this lol My waterfall is backwards my pages are not all the same lengths. should I go on but, I have never ever had so much fun with paper. So when I saw that you cut a page 4x12 it clicked, if I did all my pages doubled then they will be same sized all I would have to do is once glued put a fancy border around the end that has been folded over. Thanks
