wonderful ornaments. Be patient with yourself. Lots of us learn and think different ways. My daughter is a talented teacher who started her teaching career in Grade 12 math class. The math teacher was famous in our little town for teaching math one way, and if you didn't get it, too bad. He caught her coaching one of her friends through a lesson in the hall one day, was sneaky and watched her then called her into his classroom. She thought she was in trouble but he very kindly told her she had a super power, interpreting the lesson and being able to teach in another way . He admitted that was his biggest weakness...he couldn't think outside the box. She was put to work for the rest of the semester, teaching when necessary in the classroom ! She actually put him in tears at Grad, thanking him for the opportunity to find out what her career would be and then he hugged her(which actually quieted the crowd, they were so shocked to see that as it sure wasn't his normal personality). She's teaching junior high now and the kids love her creative way to teach things. As for me, I've struggled with things like you and I've been crafting since I was a teeny kid. My professional job is longarm quilting now but some crafts just stump me, even some quilt piecing patterns. She's always been able to read a pattern, think about it for a while and say "Mom, does this make more sense" Haha, how's that for embarrassing! But what a blessing to have a daughter who can explain to me why my brain won't process that piece of information.

I have goosebumps reading your daughters story!!! It's lovely!!! Sewing is another skill i wish I was better at! I used to make baby quilts and I did the quilted all my hand. I am hoping to get better at sewing this year coming!!!

I had an old cricut before it needed wifi lol and it was much easier to use. I just don't think my brain is wired to understand it 🤣

How much effort would it have taken to paint the whole thing. Sorry it's a pet peeve of mine.

Paint the stick? I usually do paint it all, not sure why I didn't lol but good news is you can't see it at all in the tree lol
