Hi Gina, great question. The Dollar Tree craft fabric is pretty thin, and I prefer to paint my blank with a base paint. I've created projects without painting, and you can tell the difference. It just makes it a better quality project, I think. I hope this makes sense. 🥰🥰🥰

Oh, and on the silver pumpkin, I painted it for the look I wanted, but I wanted something more, and I changed my plans. Sometimes, crafting is a process. 😊😊😊
