Apply Mont Marte clear texture Gesso to any coloring book pages first, then you dont have to worry about any type of markers showing thru back side page. It protects paper, and lets you turn regular coloring books pages into pages thats able to handle watercolor markers, lets you blend super easy with blenders, use paint pens in books etc. It just reacts wonderfully on paper, even the thinnest f coloring book pages. A cheap trick that goes a long way. Hope thats helpful to you.

I tend to use three colours in each area - light, medium and dark then colour accordingly to the shade of grey. I find I get a far more ‘professional’ look. I have to write I love grayscale so much.

It made me smile when you announced my name!😁 I am soo glad to hear that Maggie is doing good and I agree that it's great that the doctors are making the med change before school! Going to first grade is an exciting time and you dont want anything to hinder that! I do have a question...when blending with markers do you have any issues with the darker colors bleeding onto the lighter markers? The picture is turning out very nice! I am going to go ahead and order some markers because the ones I have are cheapos!! 😂Again THANK YOU! I'm going to try with my color pencils and see what I get!❤

Blending, Yes you want the darker color to bleed into the light color on the paper that's what you want to make them Blend! I am so happy this helped! Your Very Welcome!

Thanks for responding! I don't think I was clear in what I was asking lol. When you are blending colors with markers do you ever notice the tip of the lighter marker becoming darker because it picks up the darker color? I think that makes sense now lol

Why do markers cover up the tones and bleed outside of what's being colored? I use my own images that I print on 67lbs bristle. Color pencils and pastels work fine but not markers.
