These are really pretty! Long time ago I made beads out of paper. Love this idea. I have a ton of scrap fabric, I know what I'm making next. Thanks for the tutorial!

Great idea for our granddaughters. Need to get the supplies. Lora what size of the beads and are they available at Hobby Lobby. Thanks for the lesson Ahlony!

Thank you!! Size of beads are what you make them! No, they are not available at Hobby Lobby because you will be making them yourself! However, you CAN purchase the Mod Podge & Elastic Cord at Hobby Lobby. If you're interested we sell "Batik Scrap Bags" for your bead projects! Each bag has over 8 unique batik fabrics and enough to complete 12-15 bracelets! Thank you for reaching out!!

Wonderful! Great project to do with kids. Does the mod podge stick to the paper towel when drying? Just thinking maybe waxed paper would work. Your thoughts?
@RagstoRugsbyLora2 жыл бұрын
Helllllo! Thank you for reaching out! YES, waxed paper works! You will find though that the paper towel helps to absorb the excess modge podge initially! And then you can move them to the waxed paper to dry. :) Rather than use our fingers, we use the chop stick to pick them up & move. When they are wet, they are easily flattened especially with little fingers. The chop stick helps so much!! Have FUN! I personally LOVE making these beads!

Lora, I have been watching your channel and learing how to make rag rugs...my problem? My pup chewed thru a small piece leaving about a 2 inch gaping hole! How can I repair it? I'm afraid it is going to unravel on me...please help!

Ohhh I'm so sad for you!! I've been asked this so many times and to be honest I don't have an easy answer for you. IF you are able to find the 2 ends and there is no fabric loss at that point, you might be able to "needle & thread" a repair. If, on the other hand, there is a lot of fabric loss, you might be able to "needle & thread" a replacement(s) fabric piece(s) and weave it around the existing stitches, binding the area together. It may not look perfect but you might be able to preserve the beauty of the original rug without too much compromise? Good Luck to you! Your post makes my heart sad! But it doesn't surprise me either. Our pets LOVE these rugs!!
