Glad I watched before buying! Have you determined if it was user error adjusting the tip or is the performance really that bad? Not impressed with the performance.

The performance itself is bad. Even if you adjust the tip it's not that strong.

Do you have to prime it with a hose upon first use before dropping in a bucket of water

No you dont have to. It will suck the water from the bucket once you drop the hose in it.
