Come and take a look and hear a story of how I saved this old jointer from the scrap pile. This Jointer is a Craftsman model # 103.20620

Joe, I have the exact same sears jointer model103.20620. I always get a slight hump in the boards so they don't go together very well. With a straight edge on the table; the ends are up. frustrating.

Just celebrated my 71st birthday and this video brought back memories from my youth and high school. I didn't take woodshop, but my two brothers did and they learned a lot of life skills. I took metal shop and auto shop. I still remember the passion of the teachers, thanks for sharing Joe.

I never took a High School Shop class, My Dad, being a Tool die maker, was my shop teacher and we did everything from Machining, to appliance repair, auto repair of all sorts, roofing. Everything but woodworking.

40 years ago, I built tub tables and towel trees for hot tubs in my garage. I sold them around the country. I did not make a lot of money, but I made enough to buy all new woodworking equipment. My go to was Sears. One of the toys I bought was a Sears Contractor Series 6 1/8" Jointer/Planer. I still have and use it...for pleasure. I plan on leaving my tools to my grandkids and hope they continue to discover the joy and passion of working with your hands. I enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing and for teaching future generations!

This old machine is simple and stout, dust collection is a broom and I will need to improve on that, but I’m happy to be the steward of this machine for the time being

I got this from a local legend/builder. His son sold it to me. Rumor is he would take this to job sites when he was doing trim work. I’m happy to be able to care for it at this time

Hey i have that exact jointer and went through the trouble of restoring it completely and even took the infeed table completely off to refinish it. However since i put it back together i cant get it to move when i turn the adjustment knob. Was wondering if you had any answers or went through the same issue
