Darn fine craftsmanship. Especially like the technique to simulate a bend in the arms.

Thank you. Funny thing, when I had at local shop to have back cushions made. Someone thought they were antiques. That made me feel good.

I like these chairs and the accompanying ottoman and table a lot! I managed to find a well made copy for sale used but excellent condition for $50 but now I want to make another, and maybe a footstool too. This video has helped me on several of the details - so Thanks!

Glad it was helpful. Working on Morris Chair full build video right now. Probably out in couple weeks.

Beautiful!! A very skilled craftsman you are! Shopping for a quality Morris chair, and wow, are they expensive. From $3K to $6K. So, I continue to search, hoping to find something in the $1,000 to $2,000 range. Thanks for posting this video!

Thank you very much! The leather I used for the cushions was pricey, but not that much😁

it is not traditionally built if you use red oak!!

Right you are😄 White oak would be my choice… But when you have a couple thousand board feet of red from salvaged trees, I had to find a use for it. I’ll use white next time. ;)
