Craftsmanhip, The Making of Wayang Golek

This project is made to show other countries, especially the Netherlands, the culture of Indonesia. From the various topics the Indonesian culture has, for this project Wayng is chosen and narrowed down to Wayang Golek. It’s a documentary about the making of Wayang Golek, this trough the perspective from a Dutch exchange student. In this documentary the process of the making of the Wayang Golek puppets will be explained. This will be shown in Dutch, so people from the Netherlands and further abroad can learn more about Indonesia and it’s culture. How can we make them know Wayang in an easy way? The information for the documentary is gathered trough project classes, discussions, museum or venue visits and literature.
