Wow! This is a great video showing how these all work. Thank you! I have tried to make enamel dots with some other products and couldn't get them to level out well. So maybe this is something that will work better.

I suspect the cracking depends on the base you put it on and also on the color of the sample. As the simple dries, it shrinks slightly as it loses moisture. The larger it is, the more it shrinks. The surface it has clung to might buckle a little as the drying sample pulls on it and therefore that sample may not crack because the surface has also moved underneath. If the surface is stiff, the sample may buckle and crack instead. Also some colours are more prone to shrinkage and expansion merely because of the amount of colour needed to tint to the required shade so the composition of that particular colour is slightly different. Also the type and amount of glitter or other ingredients will be different in each bottle depending on the result they were looking for, the chemical colours and the finish.

I have some & love them! Much easier to get a true "dome" with these than with other products like these, IMO. I do have one suggestion, though. I got a little dizzy with the samples always moving in your hand, LOL. Next time maybe the sample could lay on a flat surface for awhile so we could focus on it? Love these video comparisons.

Thank you for the bubble wrap idea. Because I love color I bought every single color. I'm having trouble with some not dropping in a circle shape I'm sure it's me. Your video was a great help. Thanks!

Great review and demo, thank you! It must have cost you a fortune to buy all of these colors but it was great to see them all in action! TFS!

Hi,.. I think it is when you use it thinly it tends to crack...this is because it is meant for enamel dots and not for writing or larger areas applied thinly.. Dawn from the UK

Another wonderful review! I have also noticed that with some of the pearlescent drops, when added over top of dye ink, have a tendency to take on some of the ink's color :)

Just purchased my first 5 bottles. Your review was helpful. When you move your samples rapidly when holding them in your hand it makes it hard for your camera to focus on the close-up causing me to feel a bit dizzy. I appreciate that you are trying to get us to see what you are seeing but maybe slowing down your sample tilting so your camera does go blurry. Again I love your videos and find great value in your information.

I have the crystal drops and some of the glitter. I love the formula. I could do without the big bling cap. Although pretty, no necessary and I would rather have something with the color on the cap so I can see which one I'm looking for quickly! Thanks again for another great review!!!!

Many videos for products suggest creating a sample colour, punching it out and adhering it to the item. You'd really think the companies might see the need for this and do it in the factory!!

I just, and I mean just, received a mixed bundle of these so this is a super timely review for me, Jenny. Thanks for being a mind reader! LOL Super detailed review and you covered all my questions except one. After curing for several days can you put the the dots through a Xyron like the "X" without squishing or damaging them? I'll be able to test that out after the Thanksgiving weekend. I always enjoy your well thought out reviews and demos. Kris

How do they compare to liquid pearls? Thanks for the review and happy thanksgiving to you!

I'll be doing a comparison of that soon!
@ChrisAndCats6 жыл бұрын
CraftTestDummies i know I'm late replying but i can never get a dome with liquid pearls - despite having a fairly steady hand i always get a pimple with liquid pearls. With the nuvo, they're a bit thinner than liquid pearls and i find that they round out beautifully. The only time I don't get some dome is if i use them in the centre of a shaped diecut flower or such and then they do flatten out - it still looks pretty however, but I think it's probably because the paper of the flower is touching the side of the drop which interferes with staying domed somehow. The way around it i expect would be to have some pre made on a non stick sheet that you would just glue on like a pearl. if i use them on a flat diecut or card they stay domed perfectly. Regarding the denting, i tried it by sticking my nail hard into one that had been drying for a few weeks and it did indeed dent, however when I came back the following day, the dent had gone so they seem to even back out again after denting. I have to say that I love them.

can you put these drops in the oven for polymer clay?

No. these are acrylic and they will burn.

Any hint on how to attach them to a project? I was thinking maybe a glue dot?
@crafttestdummies7 жыл бұрын
+Sue Feher you didn't mention what surface your project is. I will assume paper. Normally I would advise you to just use them directly onto your project, Because that's kind of how they were designed. However, if you were doing something fancier I would use a little bit of the product to adhere it, or a glue dot/Xyron.
