Lol! Still have my Cropadile and all those eyelets 😂! I can really relate to the story about your husband, my son was the same way. As a retired teacher I have seen many children like that, thankfully we as educators understand the different learning styles and classrooms have changed to accommodate that! 😊 TFS Erin! ❤❤

Great layout. I may have to scraplift it. My husband followed the exact same path, smart but more hands on in school. Got into both heavy construction AND he’s a licensed tugboat captain. Worked his way up from the bottom. Sometimes we don’t have to go to college to earn a good, respectable living. 😊 I just love this paper collection and snatched it up immediately!!

I just made a comment about it too. 👍🏻
@CraftyConceptswithErin Жыл бұрын
Hello Shanny, thank you so much! I will have to remember to demonstrate that better in the future. Typically I don't add the foam but thought it would be a good idea. It does make it much easier to slide the journaling card right into it's spot. I cut the smallest foam circle in half and shoved it as far a it would go in the pocket to the left and right sides. The journaling tag will have to be narrower to accommodate the foam taking up space in the pocket. Hopefully that makes sense.

🤩 LOVE IT! I actually really like hard line layouts that are so balanced, but you are so right that circles really soften that up a bit but keep it masculine. I also really like how they play along with the paprika circles on the one patterned paper! So many things to love about this two page spread Erin! Could be recreated in tons of different styles and themes! I might be Scraplifting it one day! 🧡🖤🧡

Erin, what size flip flap did you use? Then what size was your journaling card with the tab? I watched that part twice and was trying to figure out how the pop dots worked.
@CraftyConceptswithErin Жыл бұрын
Hi Sue, I used a 3x4 flip flap, the journaling tag was cut slightly narrower. I will have to show it again in a future video in closer detail. I have used these to create pockets without adding the foam but did discover the tiniest bit of foam acts as a spacer and makes it so easy to slide the journaling card in and out one handed. I took a small foam dot, cut it in half and wedged it inside the flip flap pocket as far to the left and right side as I could get it.
@sues4239 Жыл бұрын
Oh, ok…I watched it again. Now I see how you did it. 👍🏻👍🏻

I’m loving all of the pages you’re making with this collection! A couple of questions I have for you: When you do your journaling this way, do you add a slit to your page protector, or do you just reach in from the top for it? Also, how do you make it obvious to others that there is hidden journaling?
@CraftyConceptswithErin Жыл бұрын
Thank you I am so glad you are enjoying the layouts. Typically I try to design the journaling pockets to where I can reach into the top of the page protector and pull out the tag. Sometimes I will write or stamp "pull" on the top of the tag but not always. I probably should though. .

Do you use a page protector over your page with the pull-up journal card? Do you cut a slit for the tab to pass through?
@CraftyConceptswithErin Жыл бұрын
Hello Deb, great question, I use top loading page protectors so I will easily be able to reach in and pull out the journaling tab. When I create pockets, I usually try to have them situated towards the top of the page for this very reason.
