Omgawsh...you cut THAT paper! Ha. Actually I used it too for floating gift tags, and outlined with gold metallic pens. I heard the Retreat was FABULOUS and love the layout🩷

Your layout is amazing. The bursts really make the page pop. When I saw the word CIRLS I wanted to forward to the end so badly to see if you did pick up on that, but in the end I had faith that you would notice and you did😂 also, I have a rule in my craft room. NO LIQUIDS. Especially with little children around. Im glad you suffered minimal damage❤❤

Just curious. How do you organize your paper so you can find coordinating paper so easily. I am not good at this.

I have used the latte themed paper quite a bit so I remembered it having the teal patterned paper. I am not always good about cataloging the paper collections like I do my new stamp sets but I use notebook to organize my collections. You can upload a photo of the paper pack and then add tags or keys words you would use to search. For my paper collections I enter in each of the colors in that collection as well as any relevant themes. Then if I need a teal paper I simply search under that color and each paper collection having that color will pop up and I can scroll through the app rather than digging through my paper collection. I used to use Evernote but they started charging to much for the program, Notebook is free

Cindy host retreats several times a year, you should definitely attend one. Haha, the dog does have a leash in the house to tether him to the entertainment center when he needs help settling down. That’s his time out spot.

Lovely paper and lovely layout. I have a question about the WESTERN HEART embellishments that I’m hoping you will answer. Is it safe to use them if they are not acid free? I have sometimes wanted to use momentos from events I’ve attended but was always warned not to by my scrapbooking friends.

Thank you, I am so glad you enjoyed the layout. It is always recommended to use acid free products but many of my long time crafting friends and I will use items even if we are not certain. Our rule of thumb is to not allow it to come in contact with the photo itself. The paper in these particular embellishments happen to be acid free because they were made with Stampin' Up! cardstock but I have added bits of ephemera from my travels that were not likely to be acid free and so far I do not regret doing so.

Thank you! I use the Print to size app which is iPhone compatible only. Occasionally my borders are not perfect and it takes a bit of practice with that particular app but I love it because there are no templates, you can make the photo any size you want.

I notice most of you scrapbookers use white background papers! I like to use the papers within the collections! Most don’t use the collections that way. Can you tell me why?

Hello, that is a great question and there is no right or wrong way to scrapbook. Occasionally I will use patterned paper for my background piece but tend to go with cardstock to prevent the layout from becoming too busy. When a lot of busier patterns are used it can overwhelm and detract from the photos which are the star of the show. Solid cardstock can give your eye a place to rest. I like to use white cardstock for my base because I enjoy stamping on the layouts and it will show up on a lighter background.
