I think I have double the lights on my strands which makes this harder as it’s more of a jumbled mess. I gave up. You win again Christmas lights!

I have many that are double as well. I do this on my lap and use my leg to rest the lights on. It helps keep them together and you can put an elastic around half the string once you gathered them together. Let me know how it works out.

Another way is to fold half and use either an elastic, zip tie or twine to secure the first half of the string and then do the same the remainder. This may be easier. 💕
