Clear matte sealer on tray and let dry thoroughly before the white chalk paint. This works well. But you fixed it and it's beautiful ❤️

Oh I just love the pears in the frame. The tassels with those beads match perfectly and that bow is darling. I was amazed how you covered up the "oopsies" on that tray! It came out lovely! Today is the first day that I watched one of your amazing videos! I am so happy you came on my KZbin feed. Every project you made is stunning. You're delightful to watch, I love your down-to-earth manner, your giggle and great sense of humor mixed in with an obviously very talented artist. Whitney, I love your wall hook with the pear 🍐 on it. I love the look of the shading the antique wax gave it. (And I'm like you...the items on my fire place mantle and piano, for example, have to be placed asymmetrically.) Stringbeans...and your other diys are wonderful too. I've learned if you clear coat your chalk paint on the tray, your transfer will adhere without lifting paint.

Make sure you let your paint cure at least an hour. If you use chalk paint make sure you use a top coat and let that cure before transfers, this will really help.
