Looking at the carved figures above the on fireplace, is that plaster? No, it looks like alabaster! Wow! Incredible, what an amazing place, inside and out, I have to somehow, someday see it for myself...

Yea, the fireplace is the most extraordinary! It is huge and it is made from alabaster. Great job. I love this room - great hall. Few years ago when I've been visit Cragside first time a man play on the piano and in this room were most staff - but still, is very impressive.
