Great trade for both teams, which is always a good thing. Crochet, being a lefty and pitching at Fenway is going to be a big benefit for him because Fenway has one of the biggest and deepest RF in all of MLB.

Not me. They were willing to spend for Yamamoto last season and on Soto this year. Red Sox have tons of PR flexibility because they stayed true to their plan - build a great farm system and compete every year. It wasn't perfect but here we are: one of the best farm systems in baseball, top talent in pitching development, and good young players on MLB roster. Seems like ownership has executed on their plan so far. Go Sox!!

if we don't get Burnes this singing means nothing. 3rd place not really competitive. Bregman every year is getting worse probably because he doesn't know what kind of pitch is coming anymore, so I would be very sad if they pay for this guy instead of the real need which is pitching. An all star and Cy young inning eating machine guy like Burnes. They don't know what they are doing in my opinion.

Yeah I guess there is only 1 year left before the apocalypse. They could still use more pitching, but the entire future doesn't depend on what happens with Burnes. It would be a great 1-2 punch though and they do have the cash.

Ok they got Chrocette? although they have up 4 potential major leagues keep o mind they spent no money I think a team willing to give up700 mill for 1 player should be willing to sign the next best pitcher out there that's available Burnes of the don't this would prove they are CHEAP.......
