I wish some late night mogul would put this type of entertainment back on tv and get rid of the junk that is on there now.

Where do these additional viewers come from, in a matter of seconds? Rating are based only on Nielsen ratings so it's not exactly precise.
@91plm7 жыл бұрын
it's a constant recycling of viewers. let's say you have 10 ppl watching. Actually some leave and then get replaced, 10 becoming an average. However what happens on the show make ppl have a higher probability of staying longer or leaving quicker thus influencing the average. :) In this case, the girls were on the show, ppl stopped just zapping and lingered a little bit longer.

@@htownsend3284 That makes no sense. Craig grew up in the UK, well before the Internet days. Where would he see Sid Caesar on UK TV before the 1970s?!? It's A Mad, Mad, World (movie, the biggest movie he appeared in prior to Grease/1978) or a British talk show? Unless you were Jerry Lewis -- the best-known American theatrical comedic talent of the 1950s and early 1960s --, which American comic is a kid in the UK going to see on British TV?!? Sid Caesar's career as a headliner was over by 1960 after his second TV show was canceled! I doubt they were going to be rerunning many old American sketch comedy series in the UK. I don't know the answer to this question, either. I'd believe this more if I heard it from Craig's mouth or read it in his autobiography.
