What a fantastic game 7. Kept telling my son it wasn't over. The nuggets kept missing shots in the 3rd and let the Wolves hang around. Rudy was electric in 2nd half. KAT carried us. Edwards closed the game well. What a game!

Ant's way smarter than people think. He's empowering his teammates. His teammates embrace it and play hard because of it. When he wins the MVP in the next few years, his speech will be more epic than KD's speech. This is a completely different Dallas team that we saw during the season. The only game Kyrie and Luka were in, they beat us at full strength with Dwight Powell as their starting center. He doesn't even touch the floor anymore and they upgraded their roster with Gafford and PJ with Hardaway off the bench also. Should be an interesting series.

To understand Rudy's impact outside of statistics, I advise everyone to watch the action just after his legendary fadeaway (7.32 in the 4th QT). Jokic passes KAT with a feint, Rudy comes in second to prevent him from taking the shot, which pushes the Serbian to pass to Gordon and yet Gobert also arrives and very convincingly contests Dunk's attempt. The action is annihilated but it doesn't fit into any stats and it's at such an important moment in the match.

I disagree that it was all defense. I think the defensive effort was there in the first 26 minutes. But we were not in our defensive sets because our offense was not flowing. And guys were thinking about the miss. I think the adjustments were on offense, a couple of shots fell, and we could apply our defense the way it is intended. And then the defense caused a run. Defense is effort, and the effort was always there. But setting up off of a miss everytime is much harder than setting up off a make. We made a couple of shots, and the defense was able to capitalize. And then there is no keeping up with us. Rudy made some shots. Which gives him an extra 2-3 seconds to go get set at the other end. Without those couple of baskets, the perimeter defense can't press the way they do.
