I haven't even met Mr. Morgan but his song: This ain't nothing: changed my life. My mom, dad and neice (who I took care of and my niece raised) passed away one right after the other. I was 23 when all this happened, still in school and a provider job. The house I was living in caught fire so did the my car, and I gave up on life. It was like the last straw. Well when I heard that song, something changed. I heard that song close to 30 times a day. Loosing the house and car didn't seem so hard anymore. I survived the worst things in my life (death of my family) so anything I went through was nothing for me to give up on life. I still hold that true and number one rule in my life. Thank you for the life changing songs.

I had the amazing pleasure of hanging out with Craig after a concert in Nashville many years ago. He is one of the most down to earth man. He is extremely humble. He even made sure that I had a good time at his concert. He is my favorite country artist. I am honored to say that I was able to spend about an hour talking with him on his tour bus that night.

I had the pleasure of living next to Craig while we were stationed at Fort Polk, LA. One day my wife was walking our dog passed his quarters and heard music coming from the house... She asked Karen - who was singing - and she said oh, that's Craig. That same year he and Karen left the service to pursue his singing career; I am so very happy that he did and that he has seen so much success. I've been listening to his music from the beginning and his story telling ability has helped get me through multiple deployments, the associated loss of comrades and separation from family and friends. What I love about Craig is he has never stopped serving, he is still giving so much - now through his music. It is impossible to thank him for what his music has personally done for me over the years! Our thoughts and prayers are with the Morgan family and we wish them profound peace and happiness!

Craig, you have touched people's lives with your music. Myself included. Your song, "Almost Home", touched me deeply after my sweet momma died. I would sit in her bedroom and listen to it over and over again. It reminded me so much of the stories she used to tell about her childhood. She was dirt poor, growing up in WV. She lost her daddy when she was just two years old to black lung, from those WV coal mines. She didn't have a good childhood but she remembered fondly climbing trees and living on an old dirt road. But the line about being able to smell his momma's fresh cobbler on the stove, that line came straight from her lips. When she was dying at home, in her own warm bed, at the age of 91, I remember wanting to wake her up and beg her to stay with me. But I didn't want to wake her up if she was almost home. 😢💔 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for that song. It helped me through her death by just being able to sit in her room and play it over and over listening for that one line about smelling her momma's fresh cobbler on the stove. God bless you and your family. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your sweet baby boy Jerry. Some children are just too good for this world so God takes them home earlier so this old wicked world won't hurt them, anymore than it already has. You and my sweet momma had a lot in common. She lost her baby boy when he was just 21 years old. Believe me, momma could've wrote that song. She couldn't wait to get to heaven to see her Father, her son and the Holy Ghost.

I was Craig's security way back when Almost home had just hit the radio. They played that song and the crowd started singing along. Craig stopped and listened to the crowd sing and he teared up. After that set the co writer was back stage and when we walked back they just hugged each other for a few moments and I told them they had a big one. They came back on stage played it again and the smile on Craig's face was unreal. After the show we all hung out on the bus and shot the breeze. I told him about the Irish Picnic in McEwen and how the folks from the hatchery were always there on Friday night.

I love Craig Morgan. I had the honor of seeing him on stage at Fort Polk La. My husband was an MP at the time & got to meet him. My husband William recently passed July 6 2016. And i know that loss doesn't compare to losing a child. And im so sorry for Craig & his families loss. And he's right grief comes in cycles & stages. One second your fine & the next your crying. When the house is quiet at night & my girls are in bed is when it hits me too. Sleeping is near impossible cuz having to wake up & face another day without someone you love so much is almost to much to take. You question God & your faith. "Why" is always the question you find yourself asking. The pain & grief never goes away. You just find a way to live with it. I was ready to leave this life behind when william died & I give Craig all my respect because he hasn't given up on life & let his grief take over. My thoughts & prayers are with him & his family. God bless Y'all.

No one should ever have to bury a child... I am named for one of my Father's sister's. She was killed in a car accident years before I was born. She was 19. I can attest to how the loss of someone so young changes the entire dynamic of a family. My Grandparents were never the same. I've always felt like a piece of my life was missing because I never had the chance to know my Aunt. I don't have the cousins that I should have had. My Uncle, a Vietnam Veteran, killed himself a few months after she died because he just couldn't live without the love of his life. Part of me will always be angry at him for that, he could have been a part of my life. But I also understand the pain he must have been suffering. Again, no parent should ever have to bury a child. Peace and prayers to you and yours.

Sherida Gensheer I thought it was interesting to read your perspective of the Family dynamic after suffering such a tragic loss, having lost your Aunt before you were born to actually “live” and remember the “before”. We lost my brother in law in a motorcycle accident almost 7 years ago, and I have often found myself thinking of our lives “before” vs our lives “after”. There is a very distinguishable line between the two. Our family’s lives were changed forever that night, a wound so deep it cut us to our core. We speak of my brother in law often...pretty much on a daily basis, I think it’s our way of keeping him a part of things. We celebrate life’s successes and joys, but there is always an unspoken sense of sadness as we are all thinking the same thing “Stevie should be here” and/or “Stevie would love this”. Thank you for sharing your family’s story, I’m sorry you lost your Aunt, and am also sorry to hear of your uncle taking his own life, I can’t imagine the amount of pain he was feeling, or the additional heartache your family felt following his suicide. As the wife of someone who has lost a sibling, I’ve seen first hand the brokenness the living sibling feels and how they are never the same after losing that huge part of their history, my heart goes out to your dad. Wishing you all peace and comfort ❤️

I lost my son to suicide 3 years ago. He would have been 23 that year. Craig, your song, "The Father, My Son and The Holy Ghost" hit home for me. I play it all the time on my way to work, it's a 50 mile drive so I have plenty of time. Today, I watched your story. My deepest sympathies for your family. I, too, was hit with a reality of the lives my son touched. The diversity at the standing room only service we had spoke volumes. He was a country boy, yet, the friends that showed were of all types. Telling me, I raised him to value humanity and respect all, it stuck. I was so proud, yet crushed...angry and confused, yet defeated. I didn't sleep for two days. Then, passed out from sheer exhaustion. I was mad at God for letting this happen. I collapsed at his service. I still have my moments. Unpredictable outbursts of tears, then laughter of his shenanigans. I just wanted to say, I Understand. I wish I didn't.

I've never met you, but your songs have made an impact on me. My mom, brother and sister were killed when I was 7, it's been 26 years, and at times it still feels like it was yesterday. .. I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope your family inspires many others to take tragedy and use the pain and healing to be constructive and forward giving. It takes a strong person / family to do that, so you and your family are very amazing people. God bless you & yours.

His song for Jerry, no matter how many times I hear it, always brings me to tears. My greatest fear is to go through what his family has had to endure. There is no song in any genre that is more raw than The Father, My Son and The Holy Ghost

I lost my baby over 32 years ago. I just lost my husband on June 22, 2020 from a massive stroke. I've been battling Cancer, a Coma and relearning how to move, write and walk, 2 long Disease's and Esineophile Asthma caused by the Ventilator, etc..for 3 years now. I am tired, weak and miss my sweetheart terribly. My will to live just won't give up but I can't live without my heart, the sweetest man in the world.

You and your family are such a great family. Your loss is something that should never be experienced. Our family just lost a smiling angel. Not just the loss is devistating, but how they were taken. She also left us in a horrible accident. Glad to see your starting healing. I honestly don't know when the hurt will begin to heal. God Bless all of you 🙏.
