Joe brings back memories from the Sears Wishbook lol. I remember that from my childhood in the 80's growing up and yes I circled things too. I remember another store called "Service Merchandise" from back in the day where you would go into the store and could shop from a catalog as well inside the store then after you would order it your merchandise used to come down a conveyer belt from the backroom.

OMG Where I’m from there are a ton of these Chinese buffets. And they serve pizza and even tacos too! There’s even some that have self serve hibachi stations where you actually choose raw ingredients for the chef to cook with. One that’s now closed even had a crepe station. 😅

Yep I got the Amazon catalog. It brought back memories of the sears catalog for sure. We have a chinchilla! They are so fun, Messy though. I'd love to have a place to walk like that around us. The only place we have is a park that goes around a lake. It's beautiful, but I had a really scary experience this summer. I was walking alone with my 3.5 year old daughter. A man was apparently following us. He scared me so badly.

I have had that experience with the Chinese hot mustard years ago a Chinese restaurant we used to go to quite often would sit a little dish that had a red sauce and in the same bowl they had the mustard well you would try the red sauce and no problem but when you would dip a little food in the mustard and put in your mouth that innocent looking mustard would hit you talk about something that would definitely help if you had a cold and problem breathing through your nose because that mustard would first shock you how it hit and then as you chew your food it really made you warm to the point you began to perspire and really opened your breathing up.

That’s very sad about your house. My mother’s house burned down when she was 16. It was something she talked about a lot. She would NEVER let us burn candles if she was around (even though that’s not what started the fire) she was always worried about fire hazards. But that sears catalog 😂 I never got much that I circled in there either. I really only remember getting one thing that I circled and I bet I bugged my mom about it every day until Christmas 😂

When I was pregnant with Stephanie we went to Sears every weekend looking for Winnie The Pooh clothing and nursery accessories because at that time sears was the only place you could buy it. Such wonderful memories. I miss shopping in actual stores. Amazon is great but I love going shopping and seeing things in person.

The journals are actually emails that I saved. I got to know a lady in an autism chat room and we exchanged emails for 2 or 3 years. Now they are like journals to me. I wish I would’ve kept doing it even after we stopped writing to each other because we got too busy. It’s such a great glimpse into the past.
