Teach the filipinos and they will be the best. Even pass the human limit. They are not scared and have resolve in life and death. they are hardworking and professional in any aspect of profession. Secret- filipinos need very strong good command and leader to look up to. Its like leadership and brotherhood. Once thats establish, those individuals even farmers fisherman can be turned into deadly weapons and warriors. They have the heart to do it. Proof is look at the history always have someone leading them, their hero or leader. Sometimes male or female figure. They are wired the same which is very dangerous. Not dependent from each other but connected. Loyalty and courage get the job done smilling. Thats hardest to find this days.

PH Scout Ranger trainees need to be in actual military operation before allowed to graduate. Some unfortunately get killed before graduation. Brave soldiers all, especially those in special forces. They got each other's backs and fight for country and each other like fighting for own family.

Long ago, I was part of a lot of these exercises. I know that you are looking for more alertness, tactical, and a bit more running into position, but, these guys know full well that it is only an exercise, so they are focusing on their individual jobs more, and the overall picture. It's common. If they told them to go "full out", these guys would be running into position, guns ready, etc...not making excuses for them, but this is actually what happens a lot. Sometimes we call it "half-speed", so it gives them a chance to get accustomed to certain things. I was SATCOM, so I was the one running the TACSAT. But I had a different antenna than shown here.

as for what units of marines, the ground pounders there are part of 3rd littoral combat team, 3rd marine littoral regiment. the regiment in the US marine corps is a deployable unit much in the same way the British army brigade is. another way to think of it is if 1,2,3, and 5 Rifles deployed under the Rifles regimental headquarters. that being said the way these marines are equipped is the new standard for all infantry marines, that is to say high cut helmets, plate carriers, m27 IAR with a 1-8x scope, suppressors etc etc.

The Philippine Marines are now armed with the Remington R4 Carbine version of the Colt M4. It has a gas piston instead of a gas tube. Only a few other units in the world have acquired and issued this weapon.

i went through the same operation in 2018 back when i was in the corps.... loved working with the Filipino marines... really nice people and some really good and interesting food. Only thing is its HOT AS FUCK.... just wearing a full loadout standing still youre sweating through your shit. Those boys dont fuck around and they fight how marines should fight, no question id fight along side of them any day.

The artsy-fartsy use of standard issue makeup could just be the winning skill missing from the military manuals. Indigenous warriors of both have used body paint for invulnerability to invisibility. ie. the clown make up can scare some enemies to run or die😝.
