Any predictions for 2024 FRQ topics? My teacher thinks there may be banked curve FRQ. Have you noticed any trends or have any opinions? Thank you!

I have never seen a banked curve question on the FRQ, so I doubt that will show up. Circular motion, however, is a big topic and shows up every other year or so. It would seem that we are "due" for one of those questions since it has been two years since that has been on the test. I would not be surprised if we see some variation of a "loop the loop" style circle/energy question this year. In general, your safest bet is to assume that you will have a question on "Forces", a question on "Conservation" (energy/momentum), and a question on "Rotation". One of those are then modified to become the lab question. So my unofficial predictions will be a Newton's Second Law question, a Conservation of energy and momentum circular loop question, and a rolling up the ramp dynamics lab question. These are total guesses, so I'll see how wrong I am next week!

The test changed format in 2019, so the modern ones will be the most helpful. 2021 had a good circular motion question, and 2023 has some good rotation questions

Do u need linear algebra on linearization questions? To find the exact slope of the best fit line requires linear algebra.

In Physics AP you can either use the linear regression function on the TI-84 or just “eyeball” a best fit line and get the slope from points along that line
