We have two Weebill S's and both have been excellent. Fantastic gimbal - strong motors, easy to balance, easy to use and lightweight. We use it with two handles which makes all-day shooting do-able, without killing your back or arms.

Se Park I like the size of the Weebill S but I like the vertical mode on the Crane 2S. More and more people are wanting vertical videos and I’m not sure of the Weebill S can mount a camera like the Sony a7III vertically using an L bracket. Do you know if a Sony mirror less camera can be mounted vertically on the Weebill S?
@SePark4 жыл бұрын
@@mattreyes79 I hear ya! Vertical videos are hard to ignore. You could get into getting a cage for your A7 III. I used to not like it until it started to protect my camera. If you put your A7 III in a cage, and if the lens is not super heavy like 24-70 GM, then Weebill S will handle that weight. Some lenses you won't be able to balance it perfectly but Weebill S motor is strong enough for most small to mid size lenses even if it's slightly off balanced.
@mattreyes794 жыл бұрын
Se Park I’ll look into a cage for the Sony a7III and I’ll have to decide which gimbal to invest in. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Se! Love your channel! I've been looking into the Weebill S. Do you know if that can mount for vertical shooting? I have a Canon m50 w/ Sigma 16
@SePark3 жыл бұрын
Hi Carly, thanks so much. Out of the box it doesn't come with a vertical solution, but you could use a cage or a L bracket sort of like this here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaSThaiXp6Z6f6M That's a different camera but the idea would be the same. If you Amazon search Canon M50 camera cage or L bracket, you'll see some there. Hope that helps.

Is the crane 2s overkill for a basic gh5s + 18-35mm? I need a (preferably) light weight gimbal to upgrade from the original Weebill. I'm looking for smoothness though, not liking the jitters and random jerks of the Weebill.

What gimbal do you recommend for GH5 + speedbooster + sigma 18-35? Also hoping to add a monitor to the set up, would love a recommendation for monitor as well! Thanks :)
@SePark4 жыл бұрын
I actually got to test that exact setup on the Weebill S and it can technically handle it (see 3:15 timeline): kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2LCpmWEqJeSq68 However now that Crane 2S is out, it's a better fit. If traveling lite is absolutely important to you, that's the only reason you would get Weebill S. As for the monitor, Atomos Shinobi is all around best at 1000 nit brightness unless you really need a HDMI out. I'm loving that I made a video for all things you needed: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y37Fh32cqr15n7s Thanks for watching!

@pf47734 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Se, for a wonderful review (I'm subscribed :) ). The Weebill S's size sells itself for me as an international traveler. My question, though, is important: do you see the Weebill S stable enough to NOT need warp stabilization throughout when you shoot? My camera is a Sony A6600 which has built-in stabilization (but not good quality) and I'll be using the sony 18-135mm lens which I believe is image stabilized. Also, second question-I'm planning to wait til next year to buy the Weebill S because I can't use it anyway at this time and there is always the chance that a new model or update will become available. Any thoughts about this? Thanks again for really high-quality videos!
@SePark4 жыл бұрын
Good question! For A6000 series cameras, Weebill S is a perfect match for size and power. When you using a gimbal, a good combo is a slight IBIS (so Sony IBIS). Strong IBIS sometimes fights the gimbal's movement. Weebill S will be plenty stable for that camera and lens setup. Of course anything going beyond around 50 mm on a aps-c camera, you'll need to ninja walk even more. Your smoothest focal length for any fast moving gimbal shot on that lens is going to be 18 mm. As for new gimbals being developed, Zhiyun is a company who doesn't stop their R&D. They have new gimbals every 2 months. LOL. If you don't have any use right now, or course you should wait. I'll be sure to review any new gimbals anyways! Thanks for the support!

Thanks for the reply. One more question. For me as a one person traveler do i need the image transmitter to use my cell as a monitor attached to the gimbal?

@@babachhunu not until Weebill S2... LOL (that's not the actual name and I do no know when they will make one). Best gimbal is the one you got and sounds like it will handle the setup. Time it takes to get used to a new gimbal is the time it would take to get better at using one 5 times over. ;)

Uh man!! You too!!? Yeh that screw needs to be made out of a stronger metal if they are going to officially allow us to take it apart. You can contact their support about the issue but it's such a gray area. It's also an issue where it's not worth it for us to send the entire unit back because of a stripped screw. I hope your future camera has a flip out screen... LOL. I think they learned from this though. They've seen my video. :)

@@SePark it's a pain for sure but they got so much else right it's hard to justify buying something else! If they saw your video they should get it sorted. Just wish they were more open to announcing their mistakes. The 3s was a mess at launch, I caught the tail end of it.

@@buddyfx7026 that's a good perspective. If you have the 3S, you know that the arm screws on there are stronger titanium like metal. I advised them to use that screw material. Until then we make the best of it. I saw some demo reel on your channel. Dang you make the best of it!
